Title: Great educational microscope kit with clear images and useful accessories
Review: This microscope kit offers magnification levels from 40x to 1600x with quality optical glass that gives sharp and detailed images. The dual LED lighting system with top and bottom lights works well for both solid objects like coins and transparent specimens like plant cells. I especially like the seven color filter wheel, which makes it easier for kids to see contrast when viewing slides. The kit includes 26 accessories such as prepared slides, blank slides, tweezers, droppers, and a universal smartphone adapter so kids can take pictures and videos of their discoveries. The carrying case is sturdy and shockproof, which makes it convenient to take to school or science clubs.Overall this microscope is a great STEM learning tool for kids between 6 and 16. The only downside is that the focusing knobs can feel a little stiff at first, but once adjusted the viewing experience is bright and clear. A strong choice for sparking curiosity in young scientists.

Title: Very nice microscope for beginners.
Review: Took my grandson to a children’s science museum and let him choose a toy from the gift shop – a microscope. But when we got home and tried to use it, we found it cheaper than we thought and hard to use. We were both disappointed. But then I found this one! This is a great starter microscope for young scientists. It is plastic but sturdy enough and with gripper pads to sit still on the table while in use. Comes with all the parts needed (and mine had a few extras in it). Lens, lights – a backlight and bottom light that can change colors just by tapping a little button, slides and items a scientist uses to make his own slides like tweezers and a pipette. Couldn’t tell how many prepared slides are supposed to be in this kit, but mine had a few duplicates – not sure why.The lights are battery operated (included and installed) and pretty bright. Both have an on/off switch on one side and the bottom light has a touch-button on the opposite side to change color. The back light on/off switch is a bit tough to reach to slide but could do it.The lenses can be rotated for desired strength and there is the knob to adjust up/down for focus. Functions like a real microscope. As extra power in the upper lens that slides in.Really a nice first microscope. Only complaint is that the instructions are minimal. The seller’s page has a bit more info to help but better instructions would be nice. Also – trying to figure out how to use my smart phone to take pictures of the slides through the scope as the seller’s page says you can. Haven’t figured that out yet but will update when we do.Didn’t take stars off for the lack of instructional help as we can figure things out. Plus this starter scope was so much nicer than the other one I had bought – we are just thrilled to have one my grandsons can use.

Title: Great for our kiddos to explore things up close and personal on their own!
Review: Ok, y’all. My kiddos are very inquisitive, and so this microscope is a great way for them to explore things in detail (ex: blades of grass, leaves, string, etc.). This microscope for kiddos perfect for them to learn on their own. Not only does it offer from 10x to 40x power, but it has two built in lights to assist with visualization. While the directions weren’t entirely clear about usage, it’s pretty easy to figure out quickly. There’s an attachment to put on the end of the eyepiece to make it more comfortable for the kiddos, but it can definitely be used without.Best part? Not only does this set come with blank slides for the kiddos to look at their own items, but it comes with pre-made slides for things like fish scales. This is great because you’re able to start using this immediately out of the box! While it’s not a very heavy or high-quality scope, it’s definitely perfect for our needs. Comes with batteries for immediate use.

Title: Magnification is not as claimed
Review: The price has decreased to $30 since when I got it, but it still is not worth it. It sucks. The magnification is definitely not what it claims to be. I would not give it to a kid who loves science because it would probably excite the kid before using it and then frustrate the kid into giving up. For a kid who already isn’t very into science, this will just further that frustration and disinterest.

Title: Good option for kids interested in science
Review: I have a variety of microscopes and magnifiers, and I’d say this is a decent affordable option if you have kids and are looking for a more traditional microscope-style.I’d say this is a bit more difficult to use than the handheld magnifiers, some of which can reach 1000X magnification or more. This has slightly greater magnification than those. Despite being more complicated, it’s definitely the best educational value if they want to use actual slides. It works as a microscope, though don’t expect it to be the same quality as actual scientific equipment. It seems high quality for what it is, but again, it’s for kids, so go in with reasonable expectations.

Title: My first real microscope I keep at home
Review: My son & I Absolutely love this microscopeThe assembly is very quick and easy to do.Amazing overall for the price, great kids first microscope to discover & explore. Would be an great gift as well to anyone who loves scienceReally wonderful with having sample slides. The one downside I feel is that one of the led lights is to bright and makes it impossible to see through the eye lens, its just blinding light. Not sure how to fix it but sometimes I just use one of the led lights to view somethingAlso the side led on/off switch is a little difficult to get to so its better to use some sort of long pick or tool.Besides the small off details everything else seems to be great.Great budget friendly microscope with everything you need to start.
