Title: Needs lots of tweaking…. otherwise a good phone
Review: This phone would’ve gotten 5 stars except for one issue that’s important to me. I cannot click over to answer a call waiting or to access another line. Other than that the sound quality is excellent, especially the speakerphone. Letters are large ( maybe too large) and easy to read. All in all, I like it.After a few more weeks I’ve noticed a few more things about this phone that needs improvement. Display fonts are too large. All call details can’t be seen on incoming calls. You’ll get the caller’s name or number but not both. Also It loses time. Clock is unreliable and time is different on each handset. And finally…. no mute button!!! The only thing that makes me keep this phone is the sound quality. Best speaker I’ve ever had on a phone system, hands down. Downgrading to 3 starsI’m still learning this phone. The mute function and the flash function are options within each call and not a button on the phone. The options appear in the display window. Back to 4 stars!

Title: serviceable motorola phone but dated handset, overly large answering machine base
Review: this phone works well enough, but the handset design could have easily come from the 1980s/’90s.puffy & marshmallow-like, it is a trifle clunky.i sorely miss my phillips dect-6 phone, it was the best-designed cordless & answering machine i’ve ever come upon & i was gutted when phillips stopped producing cordless phones for the u.s.those still made for the e.u. are beautiful.anyway, the set up for this phone is much like other cordlesses. my greatest complaint is the thoroughly obnoxious beeping produced by the base as part of the phone ringing. i cannot figure out if there is a way to turn it off but still have the machine answer.it might be the reason i return the phone if the above can’t be achieved.nope: here’s another: the machine will not play the outgoing i recorded (the mechanized motorola voice sounds depressingly like a phishing message), providing just silence after the machine answers, although the machine will record if someone talks to the silence..ordered a new one, hopefully will operate as promised.good sound quality, however, which was at the top of my list, as v-tech phones have appallingly bad audio & no clarity.

Title: Nice Phone.
Review: Not sure what they mean by Sheeeness? I’ve been using Panasonic phones for years. When my last phone died (I have terrible luck with phones!) I didn’t find one I liked on Amazon, but found one I DID like on Target, but the battery wouldn’t charge, they replaced it and I had the same problem with the next one. So I figured I’d try this Motorola. It took a bit of figuring out, but other than an EXTREMELY loud ring tone which is on it’s lowest setting (!) the other features seem to work okay at this point in time…

Title: Replaced old panasonic and hate it!
Review: Took a lot of time to review all the available cordless landlines…all of them had reviews that made me think nothing out there was worth it lol! We had an older panasonic model that lasted for years…reviewing the newer models people complained they weren’t the same as the older ones. AT&T are actually VTech, and VTech didn’t get good reviews either. On a whim I looked up Motorola and was surprised to see they made cordless phones…this model had pretty good reviews so we gave it a try. So far, I like all the features and it’s not difficult to set up. The only thing I wish it had was a clip to clip it to my shirt (like my old Panasonic had)…I like to work in the kitchen when I’m talking and walk around the house and you can’t do that without a clip (but most of the other phones don’t have one either…note to manufacturers — offer a clip!). I would recommend this phone set.UPDATE: Purchased this phone in August so outside return window as of this date (11/17/24). This phone is truly awful! It has lots of static and drops almost all calls in the middle of a conversation. 99% of the time it sounds like a terrible connection, with every other word spoken by the other person being dropped. Most times the other person stops hearing me and thinks we’re disconnected and they hang up, having to call back. I can’t believe how terrible this phone system is…we have 2 Moto G Stylus cell phones and have been quite happy with them, which is why I trusted this brand for landline phones…I’m truly sorry we spent $$ purchasing this phone and going to the trouble of setting them up. We will be replacing them shortly. Really, really, REALLY disappointed in this purchase!!!

Review: FINALLY. An affordable set with a good name that meets my grandparents needs. …been looking for something like this for what feels like a decade. Several purchase attempts of other sets all with significant drawbacks. My grandparents’ challenges:- they don’t have internet, which limits their options- they have failing hearing and eyes, like most elderly people- they don’t care if the phone looks elegant –> they want function (and this set is still decent looking ;)) and is easy to clean- they need an intercom to allow them to talk to each other from different sides of the house/property, and is straightforward to use- not being tech savvy, they need a straightforward keypad –> big (not huge) buttons, only a few extra buttons than the keypad to keep confusion over multiple options down to a minimum- listening volume needs to be loud enough for them to hear the caller (even without hearing aids) without trading loudness for clarity (often louder phones increase the volume of background noise too, making calls just as hard to understand as quieter sets)This phone set:- doesn’t require the internet (yet communicates changes between handsets)- has a ‘just right’ size keypad so is easy to read- the keypad area has just the buttons you need, saving space for larger text and reducing confusion as a result of too many buttons- is decent looking, easy to clean- it has an intercom system that can be used between all 4 handsets, with a dedicated and clearly labelled intercom button on each handset, requires fewer steps to use than competitors (at least in our experience), and even allows you to rename each handset to whatever we want. This last thing is extremely useful as it reduces confusion; Instead of having to remember which room ‘handset 3’ is in, you can simply select ‘basement’ (for example).- for the first time in decades, my grandparents can hear people clearly even without using the volume boost. Part of the reason for this is because voice quality is ridiculously good –> when speaking to them over the phone, even my experience has improved –> no background noise, no far-away voices, no static.Gripes:- none at this timeHow to make it better?- more for all cordless handsets that have intercom function: reduce steps even further by having one button for each handset, rather than having to press intercom button and then choose the handset. I understand why this probably doesn’t happen (more flexibility for a manufacturer to sell different # of handset sets) but it’s still something I could making using the intercom more straight-forward.
