Review: My dad is 72 and has lost almost all of his hearing, so at night when my parents watch tv he needs it so loud my mom gets a headache. We decided to purchase this for him, and I tried it out before giving it to him to check the quality. If you’re going to sit sit and not move a single muscle, this will pick up every sound in the room, but it picks up more background noise than the actual TV. My father has a habit of laying down to watch TV at night on the couch, so if he were to do that and move ever so slightly, he would hear the Most obnoxious static or high-pitched ringing from the device, picking up noise from the pillow. I decided to return it without telling him I even tried it. I sent it back and 100% do not recommend this thing.
