Title: Excellent, affordable option. Just be careful with the joint.
Review: These are great readers. They’re an easy, elegant, and reasonably affordable solution to a very common problem: your left eye often has a different reading strength from your right.Quality: high, but with a weakness. The overall build and quality is better than most plastic readers and approaches (but is still shy of) the quality of my prescription Ray-Bans – at less than 1/10th the cost. The lenses are nice and clear with no noticeable distortion. Decent style.HOWEVER, the main caveat is a weakness at the bridge joint. I’ve gone through a few pairs by now. I hang these readers from my collar; rarely but occasionally they will drop on the hardwood, which weakens the joints. The joints have lasted me anywhere from 4 to 12 months before they weaken or break. Super glue can fix a weak joint for another 2-6 months. If I set them down between use, rather than hanging them on my collar, they would probably last longer.I’ve been treating these as semi-disposable. I have a tendency to lose reading glasses regularly anyway. These are much cheaper than paying several hundred for prescription readers. YMMV if you never lose your readers.Fit: very goodThey have a nice snug and comfortable fit. They don’t slip at all – not even if I look down or bang my head to Bohemian Rhapsody a la Wayne’s World. My face is perhaps a bit on the narrow side for an adult male, so they might be a bit tight on those with broader or rounder faces. I think the arms expand out about 3/8″ on either side. The frames: solidYou order two arms – one for the custom strength of the left eye, another custom strength for the right eye – and then snap them together. Once joined, they look and feel like a solid, single, unified frame. There’s no visible seam. The joint doesn’t slip. You can’t create a gap by twisting or pulling the frames. It’s solid. You’d never know by looking at them, even up close, that they started as two separate pieces. The pieces won’t accidentally separate at the bridge. In fact, separating the arms would probably require a deliberate, tedious effort with a small screw driver. My experience: very good, except for the weak bridge joint. My left eye is about 2.00, my right eye ~1.50.My cheap readers are 1.75 for both eyes. I never thought there was any problem with them. Now I know better.Having the correct strength for both eyes is a substantial improvement. Everything (including small text) is much sharper and clearer. These custom readers have dramatically reduced my eye strain.By contrast, when I occasionally switch back to my 1.75 x 1.75 readers, my eyes start to feel strained after just 5-10 minutes. Now that each eye is used to more accurate strengths, I realize how poorly suited my old compromise readers were for spending hours in front of the computer or viewing fine detail like ingredients on jars. Also included:These glasses come with a microfiber cloth and a stiff, protective case.Photo notes: the last two images show the difference in style between the new fade-to-clear style (black with a fade to clear at the bottom of the lens frame) and the all black. With the former, the plastic over the springs is clear. With the all black, you can’t see the springs.

Title: These reading glasses do the job for me, as each of my eyes is very different.
Review: I can see clearly with both eyes now, instead of just one. One thing to know, is these are not as rugged as nor glasses frames, so if you are rough on glasses, these might break. However, these are the only fit-together glasses that have lots of options. I have 5 sets for different tasks. They work well for me. I really like them.

Title: They look and work well, but not durable. Good support from seller.
Review: I ordered two pairs of these readers about 5 months ago, with 1.0 magnification in the left eye and 0.0 in the right. They look good and the lens quality seems good, but the connection point between the two halves is flimsy. The connector on the left side is breaking off on one pair, and on both pairs the connector is not secure so the two halves can come apart.I ordered one pair before the other. The first order was correct, but the second included two right pieces so I had to return one for a replacement.I didn’t see a lot of non-prescription options for readers with different strengths for each eye. If you order these, they might last longer if you glue the two halves together, which I’ll try doing with the intact pair.July 12 2025 update: The seller contacted me after I posted my review, and offered to refund my purchase price for the broken left half, which I accepted. As a result, I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I was able to repair the broken frame with super glue, and I glued the connector on the non-broken pair to make it sturdier.

Title: It’s a good design, convenient to use
Review: This is the second pair I got for my mom. The idea is cool and design is good. Saved us so much time. The only thing is that the bridge (connect the left and right part) could be more sturdy. Our first pair was broken after about 1 year.

Title: Great idea – strengthen the bridge between the lenses
Review: Great idea and loved the product for 3 months – until the plastic bridge between the lenses weakened and then broke.

Title: Extremely fragile!!!!
Review: These are a great concept if you need to mix and match your reading glasses. However, these are extremely fragile. Mine broke after at true clasp after 3 months. Other reviews warn the same thing. A hard case would have prolonged their life.

Title: Super solution for dual power vision! Left 1.0, Right 2.5
Review: Thrilled with how well I can now see. I love crafting jewelry. Using a single power lens really caused issues when working with small beads, jump rings, etc.Doctor said he could write a script for my dual power eyes. I settled for buying two pair of dollar tree readers and popping out the lenses. That works okay. But the quality of the lenses are just acceptable.Bought these. Popped them together and immediately saw a huge improvement. To get the set faster, I bought a tan tortoise for my left eye and a black tortoise for my right eye. They are cute and funky. Which perfectly suits me and my personality! Will buy extra pairs, just to leave around the house.

Review: I just received my order for 4.00 OS (left) and 3.25 OD (right) and absolutely love them. The magnification is accurate and they are very clear. Fingers crossed that they do not break because being able to order different strength lenses is such a blessing – I only wish they would go as high as 4.25 or 4.50.For now, I will give a 4 star rating and will be back to update in a few weeks.

Review: If. You are making due with drugstore reading glasses, like I was, and avoiding going for prescribed lenses due to not having insurance, these are the answer. Honestly, it was easy to pop the two sides together and I find them to be perfectly sturdy. The join isn’t even noticeable. As it happens, I have since gotten a couple of prescription pairs due to an excellent sale locally, but as far as how they all work, these are on par with the prescribed lenses. Okay, they are not as attractive as the ones I picked at the optometrist, but they are an excellent “extra” to have on hand. When you don’t have the same prescription in both eyes, these make all the difference.
