Title: Great thermometer

Title: Perfect
Review: This is the perfect thermometer for my daughter, who is moving into her college apartment. We wanted something easy to use and easy to read. This thermometer came with batteries, which were handy because we forgot to have some on hand. There’s literally no guesswork when it comes to taking a temperature with this thermometer! My daughter and roomies will know immediately whether they have a fever or should play it safe based on their temperature.

Title: solidly reliable, good display
Review: works very well.the sound signals (that reading is done, or there’s an error) aren’t very loud (ok, my hearing’s poor) so knowing that it has/has not got a good reading is less clear than I’d wish. fortunately, it’s very good at getting a reading…I also really wish it were Bluetooth-enabled and Apple Health-integrated—but I wasn’t ready to step up to the then-market price for those features when I purchased it.

Review: As and older person with an autoimmune disease I occassionally need a thermometer due to running low grade fevers from time to time.This past week we were quite sick over the last few weeks I ran a low-mid grade fever. The first night I woke with a fever and grabbed our current low frill digital thermometer. I quickly realized our current digital thermometer has a grey background and dark grey numbers. I have only used it in light so it can’t be seen without turing a light on. I wasn’t thrill having to turn on a light in the middle of the night because my bed partner (also sick) would wake. I had to drag myself up out of my cozy nest of blankets just to read my temperature.I purchased this thermometer (within minutes of figuring this problem out) on Amazon around 11:45, choosing Prime’s overnight option (having like 12 minutes to make the midnight deadline). It was delivered before first light because during the night it was delivered. Admittedly, I live 5 minutes from the warehouse in my area but I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Because in addition to being able to see the softly lit screen (thst isn’t in anyway bothersome in the dark) I could also check my husband’s temperature in a few seconds because he’s not at all interested in knowing — being one of those “I’ll just be sick or dead” people.This product can be held within 1.5″ from the body and captures an accurate reading because I used two of our old thermometers to check. The unit will light green if within normal range, yellow slightly elevated or low grade, red if fever OR low temp.Because I’m not sure how many people are aware of the concerning nature a low temp can be I was impressed that the unit isn’t merely measuring with a result of green as anything below a certain number but the actually widely agreed upon numbers that make up the “normal” range.As an older adult (mid 50s) with an autoimmune disease I occassionally have a low temperature (in addition to running low grade fevers all the time). Which was the case in the days after my being ill this past time. I ran a fever 3 days then within days my body temp dropped. As per my doctor I contacted they’re office right away.I’m noting this because a low temperature can be quite concerning. This is a great feature.

Title: A must have!
Review: Wife here! With cold and flu season around the corner this is a must have! Originally I was using a regular under the armpit thermometer for my 15 month old. After his last appt, he really started to fear the thermometer and would even wake up when I tried to take his temp while sleeping. Saw a great deal on this digital one and read all the great reviews! I was not disappointed! Very easy to use and is easy to read! Takes accurate temp very quickly! Came with a little carrying bag to keep protected. Also has a “home” setting where you can check the temp of things other than a forehead temp! I will definitely purchase a second as a backup! Amazing product!!

Review: “Mir geht’s irgendwie nicht so gut. Könnte Fieber sein. Bestimmt irgendwas um 40°C. Ich will wirklich niemanden anstecken.”Das war in den letzten 15 Jahren die Begründung, die ich meinem Chef vorgelegt habe, wenn ich Home Office oder einen Urlaubs….ähhh Krankheitstag brauchte. Obwohl das eine schöne Zeit war, habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass mir mein Chef irgendwann aus blanker Nächstenliebe die Anschaffung eines Fieberthermometers nahegelegt hat. Wir hatten zu Coronazeiten ein Modell im Office, das diesem hier sehr ähnlich war. Von der einfachen Anwendung inspiriert, habe ich mir dann das gute Stück für den privaten Gebrauch zugelegt. Und was soll ich sagen? Ich habe so gut wie keine Krankheitsausfälle mehr!Ich will jetzt nicht so weit gehen zu behaupten, dass mich das Thermometer gesund hält, aber auf jeden Fall zeigt es zuverlässig an, dass ich oft nicht so krank bin, wie ich mich fühle. Zwischenzeitlich hat es so stur 36.6°C angezeigt, dass ich mich schon fragte, ob die Zahlen wohl nur aufgemalt sind. Aber nichts da! Es funktioniert.Ich habe einfach ein paar ein paar andere Dinge gemessen, um sicherzugehen:- Dr. Wolf (Stirn): 36.6°- Andere Personen: Zwischen 36.5° und 36.8°- Dr. Wolf (unterm Arm): 36.6°- Der Hund: Hat leider Fieber (38°), freut sich aber trotzdem über die Aufmerksamkeit- Dr. Wolf (Rachen): 36.6°- Tasse Tee: ERROR. Temperatur hat sich aber mit der Zeit eingependelt und war nicht mehr im kritischen Bereich.Hier noch einmal alle Vor- und Nachteile auf einen Blick:Pro:- Sehr einfache Anwendung- Leicht abzulesen- Messergebnisse sind meines Erachtens zuverlässig- Hygienisch unbedenklich, weil man sich nichts in irgendwelche Körperöffnungen stecken muss. Man kann. Man muss aber nicht.- Preis finde ich völlig angemessenContra:- Leider habe ich durch die präzisen Messungen weniger Krankheitstage und weniger Freizeit als früher. Die Welt ist so ungerecht!Nichtsdestotrotz: Klare Kaufempfehlung!(Anm. des Autors: Ggf. enthält dieses Review leichte rhetorische Übertreibungen und dramaturgische Spitzen, die nicht deckungsgleich mit meinem wirklichen Arbeitsverhalten sind.
