Title: Perfect phone for the elderly (and even younger who loke retro)
Review: We got thes for my mother-in-law, a dementia patient, after her flip phone became more than she could deal with and we were concernedwith her growing isolation. She has had no problems using this one so far.The only differences from the phones of the 80’s: the dial tone and the sound it make when waiting for the other party to answer don’t sound like the phones from the past.Pros: Super easy setup (I’m on T-Mobile), easy to use, ringer sounds exactly like I remember, there’s a red light that lights up when ringing, you can set it up so you don’t need to dial the area code if it’s a local call (just like the old days).Cons: while it comes with adapters for all sizes of SIM cards, they may be a challenge to install correctly (I had difficulty getting the smallest version in).Over all… I 100% love that this has allowed my mother-in-law to easily communicate with her loved ones again (and vice versa)

Title: Great Idea, poor performance.
Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product for its familiarity in operation to the telephones from the 70’s. My 90 year old aunt doesn’t understand cell technology and wanted a telephone with which she would have an understanding of how to operate. Unfortunately, it has not lived up to expectations. She has owned this device for nearly a year. The phone will randomly turn off (even though it remains plugged in). It is not easy nor explainable to reboot and get it working again. Once it starts working again it will shut down within a two week period (sometimes three days sometimes 10 days later). Until I am able to go to her apartment, she is without the service of a phone. What makes this worse is the people who manufactured this item cannot be reached for customer service issues. What I was hoping would be a problem solving device has turned into a product that has been more difficult to deal with than the basic cell phones I have purchased for her that she has no idea how to use.

Title: EXCELLENT Customer Service – Would definitely purchase from this company in the future
Review: Initial Product Review of product purchased 10 months ago – “Bought this for my elderly mother. Got the sim card and it worked SOMETIMES. No way to retrieve messages, very sluggish in dialing. Worked only sporadically.”I needed to update my review based on the EXCELLENT customer service. After my initial review, I was contacted by the manufacturer through Amazon. They are located in Germany. We had a back and forth conversation via Amazon. They asked if they could phone and speak with me about the issue and then they let me determine the date and time. They called. I spoke with Frank. He listened to my issues. Asked if I would return the phone via USA Postal to their USA distributor, at my expense BUT they would reimburse the cost. Then he offered a full refund of the purchase price plus the shipping costs. He sent me instructions on how and where to return. I notified him when I had placed the item in the mail. Within 3 days, I had a full refund plus the shipping cost.I have been SOOOO impressed with the customer service of this company. I’d definitely try their products again when I need one that they offer. Very Rare to see Customer Service at this level today.

Title: It works as described – and pretty well, at that
Review: Purchased this for an aging relative who was struggling with any / all versions of regular cell phones. It seems to be perfect for her – works just like the phones she used for decades! The 9 speed dials are really helpful! She uses Consumer Cellular and, so far it seems completely compatible. She kept her number and it only took about 15 minutes to set up.The only thing I would change is to have the red light on the phone indicate when there are voice messages waiting.Other than that, very pleased.

Title: Great Phone for your grandmother
Review: I purchased this phone for my elderly mother. She is sweet but is loosing her sight, hearing, and cognitive abilities which makes finding a phone that she can use a real challenge. Oh she has gone through several flip phones all very similar but she would either not use them or just loose them in the wild. What I really like about this phone is it looks and acts very similar to a desk phone from the 1980’s. The function is very similar to a regular land line in that when you pick up the receiver she gets a dial tone and knows the phone is active. The handset volume is adjustable to a very loud setting which is wonderful. There are other features like speed dials and extended functions that she will never use but they are there the same. In addition, my mother cannot accidentally turn the volume or the ringer off or down.We get our cell service through TMobile #tmobile I brought the phone into their store, the team there installed the SIM card and verified the operation of the phone, they even took pictures as they had never seen one before. We are very satisfied.

Title: DO NOT BUY
Review: Terrible waste of money. Bought it for my 94 year old mother who has dementia and could no longer remember how to use her iPhone. She was so excited when she saw this phone; however, it has stopped working 6 weeks after set up. She has no way to call now, so scrambling to figure out what to do. Great idea; complete rip off in the product. And the company knows this. What a disgrace to provide such a poor product to mostly elderly people and make statements that are not true.
