Review: This light /magnifier combination is exactly what I needed for doing needlepoint in the evenings. I hadn’t been sure if it would stay in place propped against my chest, but the feet on it stabilize it perfectly. The light is bright enough for work but not distracting to my family while watching TV. Unlike others who have commented, the insert high-magnification is not in the way for me during use. I hope the batteries will last a while, but AAA batteries are easy to get. I’m very glad I bought this! Thank you to Ottlite.

Title: Great magnification, excellent light, but it is on a string, so it moves about.
Review: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this light and magnifier, so why only 3 stars? The string that holds it up. This thing moves about quite a bit, and if a gooseneck was provided instead of string, I think it would be perfect. It is useful, it helps me see patterns for embroidery, the big strike is the comfort/stability of it. I’m keeping it, I’ll continue to use it, but my goal is to eventually get a free-standing Ott magnifying lamp.

Title: Good magnification and light.
Review: I can read my small print Bible easily now and it will be great when I am appliquéing a quilt block. The light makes a big difference. The light on my old neck magnifier no longer worked so I had to rely on my Ott task lamp which is also good but this is better for seeing details.

Review: This product makes a big improvement in my evenings, because I can actually SEE what I’m doing now. It’s lightweight, with good illumination for my work. The only thing I don’t like so much is the higher-power magnification zone, which is a very small circle at the bottom of the overall magnifier. It’s not big enough to actually provide any useful assistance; I can’t see a big enough area of my work to make it worth using. Overall, though, this is a great tool.
