Title: The perfect book light
Review: This light is awesome!! A lot of the book lights out there have the long twisty arm which makes them awkward and heavy, and the LEDs are always too bright. This one is compact, lightweight, and gives you the perfect amount of light! The light itself is a bright white, so I covered it with an orange sticky note to make it softer on my eyes at night. It fits easily in my bag when I’m traveling and sits snug on my tablet so I know it won’t fall off. Another thing I love is that the clip doesn’t cover up any of the book text because of it’s horizontal design.

Review: Kandle by Ozeri LED Book Light in White — Designed for the Amazon Kindle (1st and latest generation), Sony Reader and other eBook readers.I received my Kandle by Ozeri LED Book Light and am very surprised by how well made, functional and well thought out this product is.Firstly, service from Ozeri was very prompt, and the book light was delivered very quickly and well packaged.It comes with 2 x Lithium batteries already installed, as well as 2 x spare batteries and a screwdriver to install new batteries when needed. The box also contains a small velvet carry pouch where you can store and carry the light when not in use.The book light itself is very compact, and the light folds into a Pager size unit. It clips onto the Kindle with a large padded clip (similar to a clipboard clip), which feels quite firm and holds on securely when I’m reading.The best thing about this product is the light that is produced. It is very bright (with 2 x LED lights) and lights up the whole of my Kindle 2 with an even white light. There are no bright and dark spots as I’ve had with other book lights.I am very pleased with this product, and the small design features that make this a very good booklight to use not only with my Kindle but hard back books as well.*************UPDATE************** 6 Months on 9/1/2012I’ve now used this product almost daily for six months now. Haven’t had to change the battery and the light produced is still excellent and clip still firmly holding light in place (this light is now kept permanently on my Kindle for night time reading). This is one of the best book lights I’ve ever used. Great product.

Review: This is exactly what I was looking for. I love that it clips over my current Kindle cover so I don’t have to remove it. The light is very bright and adjustable! They threw in extra batteries which is always nice. Very happy with my purchase.

Title: Kandle CANNOT handle a Sony Reader Daily Edition!
Review: I was extremely disappointed by the Kandle. I purchased it via Amazon for use to illuminate my Sony Reader Daily Edition eBook reader while reading in bed in a darkened room. The ability of the Kandle to do this job is pathetically inadequate. When properly affixed to the top of the reader via the integral clamp, this device barely illuminates the top 1/3 of the display screen so that it is legible, even when using a Large size font; and the lower 2/3 of the screen is still too dark to see. I get much better results with the headband-affixed Brinkmann 3-LED Headlamp, also available from Amazon, for $15.95. This versatile little gem of a device costs $9 less than the Kandle and casts 3 to 4 times more and brighter light than the Kandle. I am very pleased that Amazon will honor my request to return the Kandle for a refund, (minus ~$5 to $6 shipping charges, of course). Review: Trotz der positiven Rezensionen waren meine Erwartungen nicht allzu hoch, doch das Kandle Light wirkt wirklich hochwertig und die Lichtverteilung ist exzellent! Nicht einfach ein heller Punkt, wie bei vielen billigen Lampen sondern eine gleichmäßige Verteilung.Wer, wie ich, einen Kindle DX oder einen anderen Reader mit großem Display besitzt, wird vielleicht bemängeln, dass das Licht im unteren Drittel des Displays etwas zu stark abfällt, hier würde ich empfehlen das Kandle Light nicht oben auf den Reader sondern auf der linken Seite aufzusetzen, dann ist die Ausleuchtung für große Displays wesentlich besser. Da die beiden Leuchtidoden relativ weit auseinander liegen leuchten sie mehr in die Breite – einfach mal ausprobieren, mir gefällt das Licht so besser.Außerdem wird der Reader so nicht noch kopflastiger und lässt sich angenehmer halten.

Review: EBook-Reader mit eInk-Display bieten zwar eine sehr papierähnliche Darstellung, der Hintergrund ist aber meist geringfügig dunkler als bei bedrucktem Papier. Dies ist beim Lesen unter normalen Lichtverhältnissen sogar besonders angenehm, bei etwas gedämpften Licht sind solche Displays aber nicht ganz so gut zu erkennen wie bedrucktes Papier. Ich lese häufig in Cafés, wo das Licht insbesondere abends oft nicht optimal ist. Mit dem Kandle-Leselicht ist dies jetzt kein Problem mehr. Da das Licht nur die Lesefläche beleuchtet, ohne nach außen abzustrahlen, kann man auch an öffentlichen Orten lesen, ohne andere Leute durch grelles Licht zu stören.

Review: Verarbeitung und Laufzeit mit einem Batteriesatz sind OK. Leider leuchtet die Lampe nicht die ganze Seite meines 6″ Sony PRS 600 aus. Der Reader ist ohnehin im Halbdunkel nicht mehr zu benutzen, so dass, wenn die Lampe oben angebracht wird, nur ca 2/3 der Seite lesbar ist. Stellt man sich die Lampe aber auf die Brust kann man wunderbar lesen. Meine Frau kann endlich ruhig schlafen und behauptet, dies sei die beste Anschaffung seit geraumer Zeit ;-))

Review: I’m using this for regular books, not e-readers. I like the size of this light and it seems well built. It is REALLY bright though, and the light is really blue, so it keeps me up if I use it at night and disturbs my husband in bed next to me. The clip is also an awkward size for most books and a bit heavy. If the book is thin enough to stick all the pages in, the light is so heavy that it curls over. I still use it sometimes, but have to continuously adjust it’s placement on the book.
