Title: Doesn’t hold a charge. I was sent a different item than shown; the UPC Code is different.
Review: The upc code on mine isn’t listed as being any of the models sold on Amazon. I looked because the batteries just don’t hold a charge and with the 9 favorable reviews, I wanted to see if I was sent the wrong product. I expect to only use these for 4-5 hrs at a time, but since I have long hair it brushes against the microphone and I get a lot of static.It appears they must be kept charging constantly, even if you’re not using them and they are turned off. Takes 3 or more hours to charge even if removed from the charger and left off overnight.They did make sounds louder, which is what they’re supposed to do, but they give feedback if they’re turned up too high. And the volume buttons on mine are very hard to adjust. I had to take them off to adjust volume.I think I may have gotten an old set and the batteries are past their useful life.

Title: Was I really missing all that noise?
Review: Having been a hearing aid wearer for the last eleven years I know what good hearing aids can do for you. My originals (Wedix Diva’s) after 10 years were dying on me. So for standbys I purchased 2 of the Medca’s. As I suspected, these are exactly as the manufacturer suggest…”Hearing Amplifiers”. They amplify everything to the point of nuisance and unable to separate voice over background. I would not recommend these as your first line normal or replacement hearing aids, but they are helpful in a pinch as standbys.One Amazon Feedback customer complained about a 10 hour recharge…I wish I was so lucky. Following the instruction to the “T”, it only took 19 hours for the first battery, and I’m still waiting on the second. Now after a couple of weeks of use, I still get every sound amplified to noise, but it takes far less time to re-charge the batteries.

Title: loud sharp sounds should be minimized
Review: I set the level to a nice easy to hear volume and enjoy untill a dog barks, a child screams or a car or worse ambulance goes by. I pull them out screaming and don’t much want to put them back in. I know you get what you pay for and these are no exception. My husband will not use his so i can’t use mine. He blares the TV and needs you to scream at him so he can hear and it is all too loud to allow me to hear normally. If you live alone, have no kids or pets and live in a quiet neighbor hood these are ok oh and lawnmower s. Too much noise to hear speach or music next to you

Review: Yes! I have a mother who is a very healthy 84, but is hard of hearing. She hates appearing to not know what is going on, and telling people to speak up. This gives great results. That is of course most important, not to mention the fraction of a price of others we have not been pleased with. Yet if you could give another 5 stars I would, for the recharging process. How many people would use iPhones if you had to open up a tiny compartment to replace extremely small button batteries every second day? How dare the industry force seniors to try to do this with dimming eyesight and not so nimble fingers, and then to invariably have a dead battery when you need it to work! Personally, it is not the cost of constantly buying the batteries, it is the huge nuisance of changing them. I would pay twice the price in a heartbeat (don’t tell the manufacturer). I did pay twice the price actually, I bought one for her sister who is equally delighted.

Title: Awesome and Affordable!
Review: This hearing aid is wonderful! It has a simple to use recharging base, it has a simple on/ off switch, as well as a volume control, and it fits comfortably over/ behind the ear. Never having to worry about changing batteries makes this a truly awesome product! When I saw it was under $50 I admit I was skeptical at first. When it arrived, I charged it for about an hour (red light turned green and that is ANOTHER great feature!) and I put the hearing aid in and I was surprised at what all I could hear! I had to adjust turn the volume DOWN it was working so well!! I’ve had it 1 week now and it still works perfectly. I recommend this to anyone out there that needs a hearing aid! Don’t go spending thousands of dollars on those high priced hearing aids, give this a try first!! It Works!!

Review: This is my 2nd order of these amplifiers. They’re great for those with mild hearing loss, I use these over my advanced hearing aids – why? They don’t beep and irritate my inner ear. Highly recommend! They may seem big – but once on and you get comfortable, the size isn’t noticeable.
