Title: Really impressed with these phones… bought 4 of them for our family…..
Review: My husband works for the Railroad & yrs ago, he had to fix a Horn that was stuck and lost some of his hearing… other home phones just weren’t loud enough, where I had to talk for him … I bought these specifically for the BOOST feature (for extra loudness)… this works well , now he has no trouble hearing any conversation .A few other things I love about these phones… the SLOW feature, when playing back a message -when someone is saying a return phone # too fast…you can SLOW it down and catch the #, without repeating the message again & again..I also LOVE that it holds 100 names/ numbers in it’s Phone book (last phone only held 50)… that it has a WHITE backlit display uses larger lettering, very helpful to read from a distance – has blinking red lights too…also goes a very nice distance from the house … about 400 ft away, it’s still working clearly from the house…Another feature I love is : you can set the phone to SPEAK the # each time it is pressed, so you “hear” it — I have never seen this feature before on a phone. We use MAGIC JACK with this phone.. no problems at all.. works GREAT.. There is a blocking feature , I have no used this yet… it has a number of “Groups” you can list your names/ numbers under to help find them quicker… and you can designate a different RING to each group…which is also very nice! The handset itself is heavier & larger than what I was used to, but with all these wonderful features (& more I haven’t explored yet)… I was compelled to write this review … these phones are expensive.. but they are HIGH QUALITY & can really help those who want a larger clear display and need a boost in Hearing.

Title: Clear sound, comfortable non-hearing impaired use, pricey but well worth every penny
Review: Short background to our situation. My husband was born with irreparable 90% hearing loss in his right ear. For his entire life, he has done well having hearing only in his left ear.Several months ago however, he suffered complete sudden hearing loss in that left ear. He received treatment right away, but has so far not recovered any of his hearing. This essentially left him completely deaf.He has since gotten Cros hearing aids that provide comfortable hearing for most daily face-to-face situations, and these phones make a world of difference allowing comfortable tele-communication the rest of the time. There are several volume settings which are all very intuitively easy to set (even without reading the manual). There were a handful of days that he was without his hearing aids. This meant all he had was about 10% of hearing in one ear. People could communicate with him if they had their mouth within inches of that ear.We turned up both the ring and speech volume on these phones, and he could actually have a conversation. It wasn’t the most comfortable, as he had to hold the handset very tight and close to his ear, but it did still allow him to communicate with his essential clients.Once he got his hearing aids, all he did was lower the volumes. Very adaptable to use in many situations. What is most handy are the volume control buttons on the side of each handset. He works mainly from our home office and he and his partner work here several times a week. His partner and I both have no degradation in our hearing, but we can comfortably use these phones by just lowering the volume using those volume buttons. The sound quality is clear and no different from our other cordless phones. Both the base unit and the handsets, flash when there is an incoming call, which allows you to lower or mute the ring when necessary. The ring volume on each handset is independently controlled, so you can set one handset to ring more loudly than the others. Ring volume gets turned up when out in the garden and the handset is sitting a ways away. We also have the bedroom handset volume turned down since we can easily hear the other handsets ring.We purchased this base unit and 4 other extra handsets. The handsets register and pair very easily and the range is quite remarkable. We have a 2000sq/ft home on 3 levels. The base unit is on the top floor and a handset in the garage poses no connection issues at all.A bit pricey for the entire 5 handset system we needed, but a godsend you cannot put a price on, as it allows “business as usual” for my husband and our household.

Title: Good phone but not great
Review: Pros: Loud ringer; loud boost feature; the red parts of phone blink when there is a call or a voice mail message; setup is easy if you are technology inclined; the phone book can save many phone numbers, has speed dial, buttons are big, phone has long battery life.Cons: Speakerphone without boost is not loud like a speakerphone should be; the backlight does not shine through the dial pad adequately; the screen does not lightup, not enough speed dial numbers (only 9 phone numbers can be stored for speed dial).Summary: I bought this for my mom who is visually impaired. Her good vision comes and goes. When her vision is not so good, the dial pad backlight and screen are not bright enough for her. She loves the boost feature, caller id and loud ringer. She wishes there were more than 9 speed dial numbers.

Title: Excellent for the hard of hearing! Easy to properly position on the ear!
Review: The large pronounced earcup like a old traditional phone is great. Has helped my mom hear phone calls much much better. Volume boost seems fine has not caused any distorting others mentioned and its nice and loud!. Shape of handset earpiece really helps be sure the phone is position on the ear properly. We replace a relatively new Panasonic that had a minimal “earcup” more like a tiny indent that mom struggled to get over her ear properly (that one had replaced a very old Panasonic that did have a more pronounced place for the ear like this amplified one now has and I had been very disappointed that the new sleeker design was difficult for her to position just right). As others have noted this handset is heavier than the regular Panasonic it replaced but improved the quality of phone calls a lot and my tiny mom is ok with it. It is nice to be able to have the boost set to be on all the time since mom is usually the only person using the phone but it is easy to turn it off for a call when a normal hearing person need to. Battery backup in the base so it works in a power failure is also a great addition. Tone at my end when receiving a call form this phone seems a bit different perhaps sort of flat, but its clear.Glad we got this phone calls with mom are much better!

Review: Loud enough for those with hearing impairment. Wish they provided quality headphones as aftermarket headphones leave much to be desired.Text to voice announcements is appalling. CH is read as K which is acceptable for Christopher. Totally fails when trying to say Charles.

Review: I have completely dropped our home telephone (LandLine). My wife and I each have our cell phones attached (blue tooth) and with a base and two extensions we can answer and make calls from either cell phone any where in the house. The bonus is: this phone has a boost button that you can actually hear the person on the line. Perfect for the person who is hard of hearing where the amplifier actually works. Did I tell you that we save $ 40.00 per month NOT having the TELCO and a separate home phone – with taxes that is over $ 500.00 per year.
