Title: Well built and precise
Review: The build quality is great. More importantly, the precision of the markings is very good. I checked the markings against a vintage Vard drafting ruler and they matched. Highly recommended.

Title: Affordable, easy to read and more importantly, accurate.
Review: This product is very easy to read. I have been using this ruler for about a year and half now in my shop. It it my go to ruler since it has mm and inches. The black is a nice egg shell so it’s not too shiny and it’s not too dull. The white letters are very easy to read, even the 64ths and 0.5mm is not too hard to read. The measurement starts right from the edge of the ruler so there is no lag between the measuring on the ruler and the edge like some cheaper rulers. This means you can put this right up to what ever you are measuring and not have to adjust it for the gap between the edge of the ruler and where the measuring begins on the ruler. The markings are laser etched so they are not painted on in a way that will rub off or distort the measurement markings from being dropped or rubbed on a project. The ruler is about 1/16″+ thick, ridged and has a nice square edge so you can use an engineer pencil or pen for drafting or simple wood working. This helps because it allows you to use a marker and create a fairly clean line if you want to use it that way too. Most importantly for me is the accuracy of the product because some of my measurements have very tight tolerances. This will keep up with your Starrett ruler but it’s more affordable. The attached pictures are to show the edge of the ruler because the advertising only shows the front and back as of this review.

Title: Can be difficult to read when exposed to light
Review: First, this is not two rulers. This is one ruler with metric on one side and English on the other.Second, when i received this ruler, there was an impression of the English numbers and lines on the metric side and vice versa. After some rubbing, the impressions went away.When light hits the ruler, it looks glossy and it becomes difficult to see and read the numbers and lines.

Title: A great measurement tool, one minor limitation
Review: This 12” rule is so far above the quality of my older rules, it’s almost unbelievable. Only one minor issue; the finish is more like pewter or dark brushed nickel than black. Fingerprints are easy to see and at times glare can be an issue. Very nearly perfect and I do recommend this over more expensive products. A big step up in my shop!

Title: Good value machinist ruler
Review: I just got this rule but I can already tell how much I’m going to like it. It’s not a solid black like an enamel, but more of a black steel. It seems like it will be durable. The white lettering is high contrast and looks great. Markings are etched deep into the steel so they’ll last a good while. The edges are smooth so pencils and pens can slide easily. I think it’s a great value and will likely purchase more rulers of different lengths in this style. The only problem is a slight scuff mark that may have been part of the manufacturing process but it is only cosmetic and very minor at that.

Title: LOVE this ruler
Review: I usually don’t love rulers but I absolutely LOVE this one. I had a number of rulers in the past and they all had some sort of issue – they were hard to read, the marks didn’t go to the end, they were the wrong size, etc.This one works beautifully. It’s just the right size and thickness and is easy to read. The metal feels solid and I love how the marks go all the way to the end so it’s easier to measure items.Thank you PEC Tools for creating this item!
