Title: Great for Parents or Your Own Home
Review: If you have lost power or are in an area where power outages are getting more frequent, these are great to do a few necessary tasks while your place is dark. Installation is easy and the light is very bright. These work great in the bedroom, living room, kitchen, or even bathroom. You can drill and attach these into the wall or have them on the floor so they are ready for use during an outage.

Title: Works perfectly
Review: This was very handy to have during an extended power outage. The lights lasted over 2 hours keeping us from being in the dark without the hazard of burning candles. Couple that with being always plugged in, it is recharged and ready to go if we have another outage. One of our best purchases.

Title: Simple. Works really well.
Review: I liked the super simple, plug it in approach. It works well. The quality is plastic, but totally fine for the function. Good price. I have no idea how long the “on board” battery will last. Yes…you do plug it in. But also yes…there’s a battery. Think about it. It only comes on when…the power fails…hence the battery. But even unused, the battery will eventually no longer hold a charge, or will provide light for a shorter time. Now that I have backup lighting, power grid never goes down. Figures.

Title: Very handy lights.
Review: Very nice emergency lights. They give off good light and were easy to install. They save you having to find a flashlight in the dark. I keep one by my electric panel so I do not need a flashlight to hook up my generator when the power goes out. I have one in most rooms of the house.

Review: I was somewhere between amused and bemused when the set-up instructions for this light enjoined me to “Please Be Patient and Be Happy”… until, after 2 days of charging, the side-indicator lights were STILL not showing a full charge! I began to resent the white box sitting on my kitchen counter. Be patient and be happy, I reminded myself. The instructions had, after all, given me fair warning that it would take “at least 24 hours.”And indeed, patience paid off. At the end of the second day the red light went out, leaving just the green, which indicated full charge. I now have a ready-to-go light source which should last me 4 hours during the next winter storm power outage. Is that payoff worth it? Will I have to re-charge for another full 2 days after using those 4 hours? I don’t know yet; I will add to this review when I have more information to share. Meanwhile, here’s what I really love about this light:- it is a standalone source of very bright light which will not drain from my emergency battery during a winter blackout (which I need to reserve for running a space heater & charging phone/computer)- it has two 360° swivelling light heads, meaning I can set it down and illuminate a room or a work surface in any direction, or walk comfortably with it illuminating straight ahead and to the side- it is very solidly made (metal housing; hefty, grounded powercord; decent density plastic components)- it is feather-light- it is slim and easy to stash in the back of a cabinet in my very small space- it requires no batteriesIMPORTANT NOTE: I am not planning to take full advantage of what this light apparently has to offer. I didn’t realise when I ordered it [the English in the description doesn’t make it quite clear] that in fact it is designed to be installed on a wall **hooked into a building’s wiring** in such a way that it is triggered to turn itself on in the event of power loss. Typically it would be used to illuminated an exit. So that is an impressive function I won’t be testing and can’t comment on. (It’s also a level of be-patient-be-happy installation I won’t have to fuss with. It does come with electrical caps, screws, and wall anchors.)

Review: First thing I’ll say is that this thing is lighter than I ever imagined. Despite its full metal casing, it is quite the lightweight emergency lamp. So, I am glad about that because it makes it easier to hang on the wall. I contribute this to modern battery technology as it is likely the reason that it is so light. This brings me to my first fault. And it could be a major one depending on your comfort level. There really appears to be very little in the way of electronics inside this thing. It appears to have three battery cells wrapped together. I don’t believe them to be lithium batteries as there is not much charging circtuitry built-in here. But, either way, this could be an issue for some as the connectors appear to be decent, and it certainly is grounded to the chassis which sets my mind at ease when plugging it in to the outlet. The reason I bring this up is because it does not appear to have any cUL or cETL rating or listing information on the device. This would be a caveat for anybody planning to use this because that could cause a problem.Outside of this, I feel relatively comfortable with using it due to its metal casing and construction along with the three pronged and grounded pin. If something were to happen, it should cause a fault at your breaker. With the metal casing it should at least prevent major damage if it were to arc out internally. The lights themselves are quite bright and the battery had lasted during a testing period of about twenty minutes. This actually arrived on the evening of a storm, and I was thinking it would be perfect in this situation as I do leave it plugged into the hallway and in case of a power outage this would let everybody in my household get around at night if this happened. It is rated for four hours. It should have no trouble lasting this long.I will give it four stars with one deduction simply because of the lack of certification. It does seem well made enough and it works well enough that I feel comfortable using it.

Review: Like others have mentioned the casing around the adjustable lights is a bit flimsy. I do not see this being an issue, since once the unit is installed there is little need for further adjustment.Time will tell on the longevity of use.
