Title: Edited 4/29/25 – Child safety packaging is not manufacturers fault.
Review: My original review is shown below and was one star. Since writing this review I discovered there has been a change in Federal regulations which required the child proof packaging we are now seeing for ALL button type hearing aid batteries. This negates my review entirely and I have returned to a five star review for these batteries which I have used very often in the past.I have purchased Powermax hearing aid batteries numerous times in the past and always found them a decent bargain. But they have incorporated a new design for dispensing the batteries from their packaging. And getting at the batteries has now become horribly difficult…at least by comparison to the prior design which was a simple carboard flap that you opened once and then swiveled the plastic disk containing the batteries and as each battery passed by the open flap it could easily drop out of the plastic disk. The new design requires not only cutting off the carboard on each side of the package but you must also cut open the hard plastic disk which contains the batteries and you must do that cutting for each and every battery in the disk packet. I would advise all shoppers to steer clear of these unless and until Powermax either returns to the old packaging or designs a new package which allows easy access to the batteries. Really not worth dealing with this awful packaging design when other HA batteries with easy to use dispensers are available at nearly the same cost.

Title: New Law Requires Child Resistant Packaging on ALL Button Batteries 🙁
Review: So, I ordered a new bundle of 60 hearing aid batteries as we do every few months. Batteries seem fine and last average length. HOWEVER, these are the first ones where I’ve been subjected to the NEW CHILD RESISTANT PACKAGING that it seems all hearing aid batteries will now require. Looking a bit on line, I found out about REESE’S LAW. Reese was a young child who died a few years ago after swallowing a button battery. There IS EVEN A VIDEO on this item’s page from the manufacturer depicting the “intended” (alleged?) way to open this new lock-tite plastic packaging that now wraps all the batteries I suspect sold in the US, that were manufactured after a certain date. However, I could not succeed in “sliding out” a battery as shown in the video. LOL. I looked at several other brands online here and they all seem to now sport this packaging. So, it will be useful to start carrying scissors around with you, or pre-open a package and place a six-pack into another container for car, backpack, or purse for when you need to change batts when on the go out and about.I’m all for protecting children from harm and am sorry for Reese and his family, but think the hearing aid battery industry needs to come up with a better solution for child-proofing than this unusable hard-plastic shell design. Photo shows the package butchering needed to extract 6 batteries!========= REESE’S LAW SUMMARY of CRP (Child Resistant Packaging) ========- How New Hearing Aid Battery Packaging May Affect YouWhile hearing aid battery packaging may appear the same or slightly altered, they no longer open as before. The CRP design requires you to cut each battery out of its packaging individually instead of opening the entire pack at once. That could prove difficult if you have dexterity problems, joint issues or arthritis. It can also make it tricky to replace disposable batteries on the go since you’ll have to coordinate different moving parts. It’s helpful to practice opening the new packaging so you can access them when necessary.Don’t shy away from asking for assistance when opening those packages. Ask a loved one to open several of them at a time so you have easily accessible replacements. Some manufacturers make battery caddies to separate batteries and reduce the risk of shortening their lifespan.

Title: Great Value.
Review: These all worked very well for my husband’s hearing aids. I’d buy them again if ever needed. They were a good value and had a normal battery life. They fit just as good as any battery of this size. I give this product a two thumbs up rating!

Title: Do not buy
Review: I have placed 8 orders for this product. And the 8th order arrived with a packaging change that ensures I will never order again. The previous package allowed me to pop out a plastic over and simply rotate to retrieve a battery on the go as my heating aids battery died. I watched the video for accessing the new package, and followed it exactly. First it requires strong scissors and a diem grip to cut through 2 layers of plastic- two things a senior may not have access to when the batteries are needed. Secondly, while with some effort and multiple cuts to get everything exact, with several shakes i managed to free 1 battery, you have to repeat the cut for every battery in the pack to free them. Which makes the package useless anywhere outside the home. Apparently the manufacturer thinks Hearing aid batteries die on a schedule so you can be sure to be near a pair of scissors. Alternatively you can cut every battery out and put in a separate container for leaving the house. The previous packaging was ideal, the new packaging a clear insult to the target audience. I won’t purchase from this manufacturer again.Update: I can support other reviews saying the battery life has deteriorated soffit. Had to change the first out within 3 days- not 3 weeks. Do not buy.Update: Have since determined that a federal law now requires these batteries to be in child resistant packaging- which coincidentally is also senior resistant. But the quality of the batteries is still Significantly poorer than the previous 7 batches. Still not coming back to this line

Review: I bought this batteries in May 2023 for future use. The twin packing says Jan 2027 expiry. Today, I opened the pack and was shocked that the entire two packs had batteries that were leaking. Lesson learned, need to check the batteries when they are delivered so that you can trigger a return/refund. Have to go hunt for new batteries urgently now.
