Title: Perfect battery to breathe new life into a dying Kindle
Review: Perfect replacement battery for my old Kindle Paperwhite! Prying off the back cover takes a bit of doing, since it’s easy to accidentally start shredding the little rubber gasket, instead of slipping the pry tool between the gasket and the cover. But that’s on me. The only tool in the pack I needed was the plastic pry tool to open the back plate. It includes screwdrivers too, but those weren’t needed for my model. The existing battery was glued in place very firmly, and I ended up using a plastic putty scraper from my toolbox to remove it. The plastic pry tool can also be used to pry out the old battery, but its small profile causes the old battery to deform and curl as you pry it loose. Just FYI.After install it was at 74% charge, charged up to 100% just fine, and my old Kindle Paperwhite is good as new.

Title: Battery good. No tool.
Review: The battery was a 1:1 replacement for my Kindle Paperwhite ST22 battery. Charged up fine and is working OK. So that was 5-Stars.I removed one star because the essential tool for separating the case (shown in blue in the picture) was not included. Fortunately I had an old one from a different project so I was OK, but was counting on the replacement as these tools chip very easily.Pro tip: before you buy a replacement battery be sure you can get the case apart! Even the YouTubers struggle. There are lots of cheap tool kits for splitting cases available.When you reassemble the case be sure to put the bottom (where the plug goes and the light is) in first, then snap the rest of the case.

Title: Excellent replacement battery for Kindle Paperwhite series 10
Review: The battery comes with a tool to open the Kindle but the Kindle is difficult to open. I had to use a couple of tools from an iPhone repair kit to help me open the case. The original battery was glued in and hard to remove but once I got it out the new battery fit right in. The new battery had 43% charge on it so the Kindle fired up right away. All’s well. Happy with this replacement battery.

Title: It works BUT…
Review: Physically, the battery is slightly smaller than the original. The tools they give you are worthless. You don’t need the screwdrivers just the pry tool which is a piece of junk that breaks before you finish opening the Kindle. No instructions come with it. I feel the battery will not provide the same length of service as the original.

Title: Do not spend the money – wrecked my Kindle
Review: I ordered this battery as a replacement for the OEM battery in my Kindle. The Kindle worked two months, then an error message of INVALID BATTERY was displayed. Would not take a charge, would not start, it just crapped out. I now have to purchase a new Kindle, which I probably should have done in the first place. This was a waste of money.
