Title: Decent low cost magnifying glass
Review: As I age, I find more occasions where having a magnification aid is helpful. I ordered this magnifying glass to keep in my garage for when quick magnification is needed to read instructions or view details on a circuit board. The glass does what it is supposed to do; it provides magnification and allows me to see small items more clearly.The build quality is acceptable. It features a plastic and rubber handle around a glass lens. The overall size is on the smaller side, and I would not want to use a glass any smaller than this, but for my limited needs, it works fine. The rubberized coating on the handle should hold up well in my garage, where it could easily end up in a pool of oil or other fluids from a project.Considering the price of around six dollars, this is an okay value. However, you can find identical magnifying glasses for less, so be sure to shop around before purchasing.

Title: Simple, Handy Tool Useful in Every Home
Review: This review is for the AskBed 10X Magnifying Glass, which sold for $5.99 at the time I ordered it. While this price is a bargain for something so useful, I did notice others selling for slightly less, including a two-pack for only a dollar more. As useful as this is, I do wish I’d gotten the two-pack so I could keep one in the kitchen and another in the bathroom.Any time I’ve needed a closer look at something, I’ve usually reached for my mobile phone camera and used the zoom function. But for just a few dollars, it’s nice to have this little magnifying glass in a drawer, ready whenever it’s needed.The handle and frame are a single piece of sturdy plastic and look relatively unbreakable. The frame is raised enough to keep the lens from touching surfaces when it’s set down, which should help prevent scratches.As for the 10X claim, I spent a little time figuring out the best way to use it. I’ve never been sure whether a magnifying glass should be held closer to the eye or closer to the object. Trying it both ways, I found that holding the lens close to my eye and moving the object in and out produces a different result than holding the lens closer to the object at arm’s length. Either way, it does a very good job enlarging small details and fine print.The bottom line is that this little magnifying glass is genuinely useful to have around the house. Like scissors, it’s not something you think about much until you need it—and then it’s invaluable.

Title: Combats Print Shrinkflation
Review: Is it me or is print getting smaller? Shrinkflation seems to have transformed ordinary product labels into no kidding “fine print”.Enter the magnifying glass, everyone’s new favorite accessory. My first impression when picking it up was “dang this has some weight to it”. It is a nice size, not too big and not too small.The product came in a box with very little information on it. I had to go back to the online description to find out it magnifies 10x. The magnifying glass part is held in place by a plastic ring and it has a rubber coating around the glass and handle. It fits nicely in my hand, but I would have like the handle to be a little longer.It’s easy to use. You don’t have to keep moving it to get the print in focus. The lens itself is a good size and the 10x magnification gets the job done. Things I was squinting to try to read were like the bigger rows on the old eye chart. I found it easy to move along the smaller print to keep reading it. It does have a little weight to it. I didn’t find that to be an issue but consider that if you are buying this for a small child or a person with grip challenges.Overall, I’d recommend this magnifying glass for those who want to be able to read the fine print.

Title: Easy grip and weighted handle with good magnification
Review: This 10x magnifying glass is a handy tool to have at the ready for those of use with aging eyes that don’t see as well up close to tackle tiny print, threading needles, fine assembly, etc. The handle is well weighted and has a rubber grip that is comfortable to hold. There is a hole in the handle allowing you to tie a piece of rope to hang your magnifying loupe on the pegboard of your workbench to keep in easy reach without taking up workspace. Had the diameter of the hole been a touch larger, I could have placed it directly on the peg. The edges of the loop are also rubberized and provide shock absorption when dropped. The magnification area of the loupe is large enough that you can focus on several inches at a time without moving the lens. The magnification glass is clear and provides good viewing. Not the most powerful loupe on the market, but sufficient for most everyday tasks. Children can also safely use as they investigate the world as young Sherlock Holmes apprentices.

Title: High quality magnification
Review: I ordered this magnifying glass because I have reached the age in life where I need a bit more help with my vision. While I have reading glasses, there are still some super tiny prints that I just cannot read. Often times, I have to take a photo of it with my phone and zoom in. This is inconvenient when I am working on paperwork, so I was hopeful that a magnifying glass kept at my desk might offer a better solution. This one ended up being exactly what I needed. The magnifying glass has a nice substantial feel to it, so it doesn’t feel flimsy at all. The glass is a good size for seeing an entire label or print area without having to shift the lens around a whole lot. The glass is crystal clear and easy to keep clean without worrying about it developing a haze like plastic would. I like that it creates a large, crisp enlargement of the text I am trying to read. I even used it (with a second set of hands) to see clearly to replace a watch screw that was super tiny. The lens is very securely seated in the frame of the magnifying glass. The handle has a hole in it that a hanging loop could be added to, if desired. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and effectiveness of this magnifying glass, so I feel it is a good value.
