Title: This is exactly what you think it is.
Review: I bought this guy when I started getting into painting miniature models. It’s very solid, very sturdy, and the joints have multiple points of articulation. The base is plenty heavy, so you can use this on objects much heavier than you’d expect, and possibly more if you fixed it to a table. The central bar lets you choose the distance for the clip arms, magnification lens, and light in relation to one another. I wish the arms on the clips were a little longer, and maybe had just a bit more bite range, but for the price, this is an exceptionally useful tool. If I’d seen it in a store, I probably would’ve paid a little more. Oh, and batteries were included.A couple things to keep in mind, depending on what you’re intending to use this for:The outer joints are held together with wing nuts, so they’re pretty easy to loosen and tighten as you go, but the locks for the bar positions will probably require pliers to adjust unless you’ve got inhuman hand strength. This is definitely to your benefit, since the last thing you’d want is these guys sliding around while you’re working with a delicate enough project for this tool. The clip teeth are a little sharp, so you might want to put some cloth or electrical tape on them if the item you’re working with is fragile. The base felt like cast iron to me, so mounting this guy could pose a challenge if you’re not super handy.I’d buy it again.

Title: A helpful little gizmo.
Review: I bought this to help me with my jewelry making and repairs. The magnifying glass is definitely helpful and I love it it included a light as well. It came in a very small box, at first I questioned if it was actually what I ordered. There is some assembly and there weren’t really any instructions. But after a few minutes of looking at it it was sinch to figure out. The quality of the metal is good and much to my surprise the footing is very stable. I would recommend.

Title: Decent enough for the price
Review: It’s pretty much what I expected for $15. The magnifying glass isn’t the best quality, but functional enough. It’s not very fluid or easy to adjust, but workable enough. The overall quality or feel is so-so. But… it’s functional, which is all I cared about when I ordered it. And the alternatives were MUCH more expensive. It’s VERY handy to have something like this to hold a light, magnifying glass AND the part when you’re working on small items to solder, paint or apply adhesives, etc. One thing I especially like about this is that it has a heavy base. It’s unlikely that it’s going to tip over for most objects I’ll be having it hold. If this were $25 or more, I’d likely rate it harsher, but for less than $15 it’s 4-stars in my book.

Title: Handy tool all in one package
Review: I love this tool and it is affordable too. I have used many different extra hands tools and this one is tops. It comes with a LED light and a magnifier all for such a great price. It works great for jewelry and electronics repairs. It is especially nice when soldering and welding since it is metal construction and can withstand the heat that transfers to it while you use it to hold your pieces. It came well packaged and very quickly. I will be ordering more of these as I need to expand my toolsets. This is not a paid or free product review.

Title: light quit working first day
Review: i was using it yesterday the first day i had it and the light just quit working for no reason. but it does work well the clamps hold my minis well and the glass zooms in well and allows me to see better. but id invest in a headlamp because the light even when it worked doesnt give much light

Title: It really does help..
Review: I can’t say anything bad about this little guy. I’ve used it to assist with so many different hobbies and tasks around the home. It does a good job holding small parts and I appreciate the magnifying glass especially when I’m trying to paint fine details. The little light doesn’t do much for me, but it is nice to have the option I suppose.

Title: The clips work great securely hold things but magnifying glass not so great.
Review: I hate giving bad reviews on products when sellers work so hard to create something. I normally won’t write a bad review unless I had a horrible experience or the seller wanted my opinion, which in this case seller wanted feedback. I was going to use this to solder jump rings to jewelry. The clips used to hold things are great and it holds pieces very securely. The light needs to be brighter and more bigger in circumference, its just too tiny and not bright enough. The magnifying glass can’t be used to solder with because it doesn’t really magnify. I’m 41 and my eye sight isn’t that great anymore, so I asked my 12 year old daughter to use it and see if she could see to solder a piece of jewelry and she couldn’t see either. It reminds me of one of those kids magnifying glasses. I am going to have to buy another magnifying glass and light to use this product. Also it is top heavy. The screw part that holds it to the base, I have it as tight as it will go, but it keeps tilting over. I will attach a picture of how big the magnifying glass will magnify something. The left half of picture shows what the ruler actually looks like and the right half is under the magnifying glass.

Review: I bought this to replace another one but it has the same issues with the magnifier breaking. I took it off and just use the clips. The led light really isn’t very good the Color is very blue and doesn’t really help see. Use a good desk lamp instead. Cool white is best.
