Review: I’ve been buying the Hapjoys reading glasses for a long time. Never disappointed. They are sturdy and fit well. I find them equally as nice as more pricey brands. They don’t fall down on my nose like most. The arms hold their strength and do not stretch out like some.

Title: Change in Lens Material – Distortion of Colors Now
Review: I have been wearing these glasses for many years. At some point during the past year, the quality of the lenses has gone down significantly. My higher prescription readers now cause a distortion of colors (that appear as a 3D effect). Doing some research, I found that this is due to a low abbe’ #, meaning that the material that is now used is of a lower quality. This is evident when I hold these new glasses side by side with an older pair. The newer glasses are much thicker for the same prescription.In addition to the 3D effect, the range of vision is much shorter than before.This is disappointing…but not unexpected. If a company can get away with lower quality, they will get away with lower quality.
