Title: You may find these perfect for the price
Review: I have a hearing impairment based on a recent audiometry test. I also have long standing tinnitus. While I have been careful over my life to use earplugs during noisy activities, including power tools and dumping recyclables into the bin (yeah…) these problems have created quality of life issues. I regret not using ear protection (sooner) in my earlier life and at concerts. I have to ask people to speak up. I use closed captioning more often than not. If things are clearly enunciated, I generally am good, but it can vary conversation to conversation and broadcast to broadcast. I have been looking at OTC hearing aids. The Ideerfit hearing aid provides some insight into what I probably need.The Ideerfit is decidedly lower cost than a number of other OTC hearing aids which seem to range from $100-200-500-1000 and $2000 ranges. As you jump in price you get “shaped reception”, for noisy environments, and more frequency tuning options. The Ideerfit has a couple of hearing modes, a number of ear bud tips, and rechargeability.Anyone who uses hearing aids will usually tell you two things. “You will hear things you have never heard before” and “You need to wear hearing aids consistently to get the benefits”. These things are very true. I could hear my footsteps on a hardwood floor. In my first wearing, I found fitting important, as screeching can occur if the mics are not isolated from the bud in your ear. I also found the volume control was not low enough (more in a second). Yes, these buds definitely made me hear better. The lag time watching TV was OK, especially since I am used to closed captions, which tends to pull your attention away from lip movements. I worked “time-in” from 30 minutes a day to a full day, as suggested, and over a week.Remember, you need to wear your hearing aids, not just put them in sporadically. Wearing them continuously I did get used to them being in my ear, and even what I was now hearing. The thing I struggled with was the volume. It just is too much. I wanted a couple of levels reduction. Like I said, I have a hearing impairment. That impairment is in the 5000-7000 Hz range and means I need a bit of mid-range (vocal) enhancement, not a full range. More tuning. The indoor-outdoor-TV environment adjustments were not helpful to this. One other thing, in watching programs or listening to music through a room tuned AVR 5.1 sound system, I preferred the aids out. I think this is a common experience even as with more expensive OTC’s (and even more expensive prescription models) – certain applications beyond conversation and general use may still be less satisfying.I appreciated the opportunity to try these out, but I need to keep looking. My own impairment should not deter you from giving these a try. I think for many older people they might be just the ticket.

Review: These hearing aids came inside of a small, plastic-wrapped box, like many quality electronics. They were well protected, seated in their spots. Using them is easy. They are not uncomfortable. They are on the less visible side of things. Sound quality is good enough for my needs. I recommend.

Title: I can hear!!!
Review: These hearing aids are awesome!!! I put them on as soon as I received them and had to immediately turn down the volume of the TV! They come in a nice zip-closed carrying case and different domes to be used based on the size of the ear canal. I used the domes that were already installed and they fit perfectly. My husband could not tell that I was wearing them as they disappear over my ear and blend in with my glasses.These hearing aids are color coded, red for the right ear and blue for the left. They have two controls — one for the mode and one for up/down volume. The mode has four settings based on your location (indoors, outdoors, watching a movie, or general). The volume is very easy to adjust while wearing them — I have my volume set to the lowest and everything is so much louder than before! LOLThey come with a very simple user manual, perfect for these very simple to wear/use hearing aids. I am so excited about this that I had to write this review right away after wearing these for an hour! I spent thousands of dollars for my previous hearing aids and they were very uncomfortable to wear (they tickled my ears). I can’t even feel these hearing aids inside my ear.

Title: No one will even notice you’re wearing them!
Review: My husband has battled hearing loss, specifically in his right ear for many years and I’m always on the search to find quality ones that are light, very inconspicuous to wear and ease his self consciousness of wearing them. These have been great for that because you can’t tell at all that he’s wearing them and he actually looks forward to wearing them now! My only con is I wish the battery life was longer but other than that, these have been amazing and such a budget friendly option!!
