Title: Just what I needed.
Review: I have an old (11th gen.) Kindle. Over a period of time, the insulation on the original (white) charger cord started to crack in numerous places and expose the electrical wires. So, the replacement charger and cord was called for. The replacement item I bought from Amazon is what I needed and expected. The new charger cord is a bit short of 6 feet . . . good enough for charging. However, you might want to buy a longer (compatible) cord if you read in bed while charging your Kindle . . . there’s plenty to pick from on Amazon . . . and the price, especially for this item is very inexpensive.

Title: Make sure you have the tiny insert apparatus if you are using a more recent Kindle
Review: This item was confusing. At first I could not get it to plug properly because it was the wrong size. I thought I had purchased the right charger for a Paperwhite Gen 12, but it came with an old size of insert. I then found on the floor a right-sized insert for the charger. Then it fit. I don’t know if the insert came from the box of my paperwhite or if it was in the package with the charger. But now it works. Make sure you have the insert – it’s quite small so it’s not hard to miss it.

Title: Wrong size for my Kindle
Review: I bought this as an additional charger for my Kindle. I have used Kindles for years and am not sure how old the current one is, but I believe it is less than 3 years. I have purchased replacement chargers with cords before from Amazon and never had a problem. Unfortunately that string just ended.The male end of the cord which goes into the Kindle (the other end is male but for the transformer block) is too small to fit into my Kindle. This charger is useless for my Kindle.I will go look for a replacement from a brick and mortar store where I can try it out. Amazon needs to require the seller to list what Kindles it will work with and what Kindles it will not.The Kindle was bought from Amazon so it show know it will not work.
