Title: It’s got the real bell for a ringer!
Review: Okay this is absolutely the real deal old style push button telephone. The first thing I checked was did it have an actual bell in it for the ringer… And I’m happy to report that it does. This one is not nearly as heavy as the original ones from the ’80s but it functionally feels and looks exactly the same. You can pretend you have the nuclear telephone to the Kremlin if you so desire or just a nice retro phone. Now this truly is an old style phone so you can’t just plug it up to anything and it work, it looks like it is made to plug up mostly through a fax machine with a landline. So if you’re going to use it as an IP phone you’ll need something to take the digital and convert it over to the analog jack/RJ45. But mine came perfectly packaged and looked really good and feels super so I totally recommend getting this if you want a traditional old phone. My son wanted it he doesn’t realize that now that it’s hooked up I can get him up with the ringing phone just like I had to do. I think the quality is excellent and the price is a great value for what you get.

Title: Take it back to the old school with this 80s style phone that stays true to it’s simple mission
Review: I’m making an effort to go wired on as many things as possible. I’ve created a home that can be completely wired without the need for wireless technology on any level. The only thing left has been to get an analog phone line.I’m not looking for call waiting. I don’t want speaker phone. I wanted a good old school 80s style desk phone & you know what…that’s exactly what I got.I love it. I wanted something that looked and felt just like the phones we had back in the day. This is ‘that’ phone.Do ‘not’ get this phone if you want caller ID on the handset & all those features. This is not the one you are looking for. Get this when you are ready to go completely back to the 80s, old school, like some of us are doing. Will it work on VoIP?If you have the adapter already, yes. Plug this from the DATA to your VoIP box & you are good to go. Nothing complicated. That’s the beauty of the 80s and anything that pays homage to it…the simplicity. This is it.Now I just need my red Swingline Stapler & no…I’m not going to meet with “The Daves”…I’m going to be talking on my old school 80s phone in my cubicle until the efficiency experts go away. Tell HR I don’t have call waiting. They’ll have to come to my cubicle. They can admire my 80s phone while they wait for me to finish my old school 80s phone call.
