Review: This is a review for the 1930’s Retro Landline Phone with Redial, Old Landline Telephone which was priced at $45.96 at the time of purchase. That price now is $33.96 and I feel like this lower price better reflects its value.I just love the looks of this phone! My Grandma had one exactly like it that sat on her phone table in the corner of her kitchen…on a party line! It looks like its a dial phone the way they have it set up but its actually a pushbutton. The center of it where your phone number would be on the little plastic disc is now a Redial button! The very first thing i noticed that was different about it besides the dial is that it doesnt have that cutout in the back where you could reach over the phone and grab that cutout to pick the phone up to move it. Remember? You wouldnt think something like that would be missed but I guess it goes back to ” you dont know what you have til its gone”! LOL. Anyway…the phone is practically feather light so its not that its too heavy just to pick up but there is really no good place to grab it with the receiver hanging down like it does. Oh and a Caller ID would be nice! That would be hard to get used to…answering the phone without a clue who is calling??? We dont have a landline where we live now but we will be moving soon to a home that has a landline hooked up so we plan to keep it and use this phone with it. We will only use that for things you try to get information about online and they insist on having your phone number but you are NOT ready to talk to anyone about it yet. You know the ones! Anyway…if you’re from “the olden days” youre gonna love seeing this sitting in your house. Im looking forward to making a call with it and sitting and having a conversation with the headset again!

Title: Gorgeous retro throwback phone, RING RING
Review: This retro phone is wonderful. I’m pretty old-school and I love to keep a landline around. I also have a house full of kids some of which are under 12 years old and I don’t want them to have cell phones yet. I would like them to have a way to contact me When they’re being babysat by their older siblings without them needing to have a cell phone. I also just like the idea of having a little vintage piece of history and helping them to kind of experience how things were not so many years ago. This phone definitely has an authentic look and a first glance you don’t really realize that it’s not actually a rotary. That’s good because rotary are pretty annoying to operate and don’t work if you have a a phone menu that wants you to input some numbers. For instance when someone says press one for this department and press two for that department, you’re not able to do that with a rotary phone so you do need to have those buttons that you’re able to push. This phone has that, but it does maintain kind of the look of the rotary so you’ve got the best of both worlds. It also has a redial button that is decorative and gold and shiny right in the middle so that’s fun for calling back whoever you missed a call from. It’s not super heavy like the big light phones were when they were made back in the day. It is nice and heavy duty plastic, but it’s not as heavy duty as the original 5 pound fake light phones and radios and record players used to be. But to be fair, those were pretty darn heavy so this is a little more user-friendly. I have not subscribed to a landline service yet so I can’t tell you what the sound quality will be, but I’m looking into getting magic track and then hooking it up to our computers so that we can have landline service without having to pay a hefty monthly fee. It does have an initial cost and then a yearly renewal, but that yearly renewal is only around $50 which is about how much the monthly charge is for me for a landline with Call waiting so look into a voiceover Internet phone plan and save yourself some money. The style of this is so fantastic and I’m excited to get to add it to my kitchen and have more options for being able to contact my kids and having them contact me or give grandma a call or give their cousins a call. I love that ability to have that connection without being stuck on the screen. i’m so looking forward to getting it up and running.

Review: I picked this up for the vintage look and it’s a cute little desk phone. The body has a classic rotary style shape and from a distance it’s not obvious it’s a reproduction.The dial area looks like a rotary but the numbers are actually push buttons. I was a little disappointed there isn’t an actual rotary dial, though the buttons would make it easier to use.The phone connects directly to a landline and doesn’t need separate power. The handset cord has a fabric-style wrap and the whole thing has a solid feel when sitting on a desk. It works well as a novelty or decorative phone with basic calling functions, and the vintage/retro vibe is nostalgic.It’s overpriced for what it is, but I smile every time I look at ti.
