Review: It does what it’s meant to do, but it is really annoying having to re-pair the device as it disconnects from the remote after every few minutes without use, which if you have a lot of text on the screen or struggle with reading and take time to get through one page or have to go for a bathroom break is wee bit annoying because by the time you reach out to the clip-on part to press the button you’d be as well just tapping your Kindle/Kobo ereader page instead to turn it yourself… I thought it would be great for reading in bed as I have a phone holder thing that fits my Kobo next to my bed and this would mean i could stay all cosy under the blanket without having to reach out every few minutes.It can be a little fiddly to get it to pair the remote and device at times til you get the hang of it. Button is responsive otherwise. This is nitpicky, but I’m not really a fan of the shape of it as its sort of uncomfortable to hold after a while.. but i do like at least that they have a lanyard with it. It would have been nice if it came in a pouch so you could keep the two together easier, but I just put the lanyard through the clip part because otherwise it would be very easy to lose one or both parts.The plastic the remote is made from is a bit too smooth and a little slippery for my liking also, which is why I feel finger grip grooves would have been better or just some sort of non-slip material. The remote control is very lightweight.I do like the battery indicator on the remote control though, that’s a nice touch and from what I recall reading the device has a good battery life that more or less matches that of the e-reader and it charges via USB-C which is great!I feel it’s just slightly over priced for what it does, but it is definitely useful for reading in bed or for people with limited mobility.
