Title: This is a wonderful product
Review: I was initially hesitant to order this device because I was unaware of how difficult inserting scleral lenses can be. My doctor told me to buy this because the lenses are large and insertion with my Parkinson’s may be challenging. You see, these lenses must be inserted with the head facing parallel to the floor because the lens must be filled (to the rim) with saline solution to work. It’s tricky to do.When the insertion device arrived, I liked how simple it looked. Dr. Fayiz Mahgoub has indeed developed a product that is easy to use and it works. There are plenty of supports, videos, and personal coaching for those of us who need it. I was also impressed that research had been conducted to test the device. There is a very detailed set of materials, and Dr. Fayiz Mahgoub personally spoke to me. He was so supportive and helpful. Yes, I recognize that this insertere may seem costly, but in fact, I see it as a good value. It is easy to assemble and works as promised.

Title: Works as described. Only using for 5 days so far…..however WOW
Review: I’ve never worn a contact lens. I needed a single custom Scleral contact lens, with very specific care and insertion requirements. Old dog, new trick describes me, decades past senior admission to movies. I also have other issues that limit my bending and head positions. I tried a number of positions and holding devices, enhanced light to ‘see’ lining up. All during the course of trying to insert had many failed attempts. In my search for a better method, I found the SS inserter, I’m on day 5. 5 for 5 first try insertions. Still learning some tricks, still finding the best location to use it. It’s an investment, however it solves big problems – and I’m happy I found it.

Title: I’ve used Scleral lenses for over 10 years – this is not necessary
Review: If you are new to Scleral lenses, great for you. Your world is about to change for the better. But if you are concerned or nervous about the insertion / removal don’t be. It takes some time and practice but your eye is amazingly forgiving. You don’t need this contraption. I would suggest a clean towel or something on the counter to stop a falling lens from bouncing into the toilet or floor.

Title: 10/10 Recommend Scleral Lenes
Review: I have been wearing sclera lens for over 3 years now, and I have found it extremely difficult putting on the lenses. I have tried other tools that have not been as helpful and I highly recommend this. I know the price is a little expensive but overall a great product and has made my life easier and the best part the customer service for repairs has been a great experience. I highly recommend you’re not only paying for a great product but you’re also paying for great customer service.

Title: Great value
Review: I have been using Scleral lenses for 2 years. During this time, I always had great difficulty to insert them in my eyes and there were times where it took me over an hour without any luck to get them inserted.When I did, vision did get foggy after a short time, sometimes even after 30 minutes. Then I had to start the whole process again of removing and inserting. This was taking too much of my time so on many days I did not bother to use them as they did not offer a guaranty that I will retain a good vision for say 3 hours or more.Recently, I purchased the S5 inserter, and my life changed overnight. The very first time I used it I managed to insert them after one to two attempts and this has been the case every time I tried. Once inserted there have been days where I managed to use them for 6 hours without having to remove them and insert once again because of vision became foggy. Inserting them back on once again was no problem.I wish to thank Fayiz Mahgoub for answering all my questions and he also assured me that the guarantee service will also be great.The product is expensive, yes, but when I consider how it has helped me then I get really say the money was well spent and I have no regret that I have purchased it.

Title: Good Product. But will not work for aphakia patients.
Review: I think this product is a great invention. It will make lens insertion easier for the vast majority of scleral lens users. However if you are missing the lens in your eye, you will not be able to focus on the light from the device and so will not be able to insert your lens with it. That was my issue and so I was not able to use it.

Title: 100 Extra?!
Review: Already extremely expensive, and 100 dollars extra just for a 5 dollar telescopic pole? Looks cool, but I’ve already learned to put my lenses in well enough. I would have purchased this, but no way, just for a plastic led holder. You could print something at home for next to nothing.

Title: I get my scleral lens in on the first try practically every time!
Review: Im new to scleral lenses and contacts in general. When my optometrist tried to put the lens in for me in the office (while I held open my eye with both hands), we failed and dropped the lens 4 times before getting it right. I figured it would be an ongoing issue once I started putting them in myself, and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to stick with wearing the lens.Instead, the S5 inserter has made insertion a breeze. I spend far more time cleaning and filling the lens with solution than I do on inserting, and I get it in on the first try practically every time. I am relatively tall and have a bad back, so being able to use the telescoping arm helps immensely with insertion as well. Also my vision is very bad without the lens so being able to guide myself with the yellow light is incredibly helpful. Despite the telescoping arm, the whole device feels very sturdy, so you don’t need to worry about solution sloshing out of the lens as you are getting everything set up/inserted.Finally, Dr. Mahgoub truly is committed to helping people who rely on scleral lenses. I had a few questions and he personally answered my emails in detail. Thanks Dr. Mahgoub!
