Title: Easy setup and decent sound quality
Review: Speaker was very easy to set up, I used the optical audio cable because there is no audio lag in the speaker, and the volume on the TV can be adjusted independent of the speaker. The 3 equalizer settings on the back allow to set how much you wish to isolate voices. The most filtered setting is a bit tinny, so I opted for the middle setting.It switches well between TV and Bluetooth, though I wish that switch was on the front because I switch between TV and podcasts often. Also, I wish the DC plug had a 90% bend because I would like to hang the speaker on a hook.I did happen to read on the back of the speaker to remove the battery if you will be keeping the speaker plugged in, otherwise your battery may swell.

Review: It was easy to install,My grandchildren installed it for me. The sound is fantastic. It’s so nice to be able to hear the TV and have it down low. I would recommend this to any older person.

Title: Great portable TV speaker that can co-exist with an existing optical audio unit and your TV
Review: Purchased this speaker for my wife who has problems distinguishing voices when there is a lot of background noise – music, sound effects, etc. – but doesn’t want to get a hearing aid to help. Previously, we would have to turn up the TV volume so much that it was unpleasant for me and would even bother her when the program or streaming video changed to a commercial. This speaker changed all that and we’re both happy now. We already had a Bose Sound Bar connected to our TV via an optical audio connection and I really appreciated that the Simolio had both an input optical audio port and an output audio port so that I was able to place it in between my TV and the Bose unit. Since we had a power outlet on the corner table the Simolio speaker is on I removed the lithium battery from the speaker (as recommended in their guide) and powered it with the second power supply included in the box. Connectivity and voice quality on the speaker have been excellent. I held back one star in my rating only because I have no idea how durable this unit will prove to be over the next couple of years.

Title: Do not try to use two or more of these in the same house
Review: The seller should tell people that the speaker and base unit of these items are not specifically paired to each other. If you have two units in the house and you use both units in the wireless mode (i.e. speaker not in the base unit) the speaker may connect to the other base unit connected to the other TV.I have one for the living room TV and was very happy with it. I purchased a second one for the bedroom TV. After I hooked everything up for the bedroom TV and started using it in the wireless mode (i.e. speaker not in the base module) the bedroom TV speaker connected to the living room TV. I was getting the audio from the TV in the living room not the bedroom TV.I placed the speaker for the bedroom unit back in the base and it played the audio from the bedroom TV. When I removed it from the base module it stayed connected to the correct TV. However, when the living room TV was shut off the speaker for the living room unit started playing the audio for the bedroom TV.When the living room TV was turned on again the speaker for this unit continued to play the audio for the bedroom TV. In order to have the living room speaker connect to the living room TV again, the bedroom TV AND the base unit in the bedroom had to be shut off. I have disconnected one of the units so I guess I now have a spare.

Review: I am profoundly impaired and have been all of my life. Thanks to technology I am able to function relatively well for the most part. Television in particular movies have been, more of a challenge. Well this has all changed thanks to the Simolio 2.45 wireless Speakers System. When we received the system, because it seemingly appeared too difficult to connect it, to or hook it up to the TV, we were intending to return it. We had purchased the extended warranty for it, and feared it were to be annulled, the cost of the insurance would likely not be refunded. I then reread the reviews and as a result of others had written, I went to the Best Buy store, and hired one of their technicians to help us with the set up. At the cost of $80. they did the job. They also corrected another sound problem with our TV. It has been the best money spent. We had previously purchased another speaker but it quit working within a short time. Another thing I discovered is that Amazon sells a similar Simolio Speaker model SM-6210, which carries a warning for users who have a pace maker. Hopefully the Simolio we purchased will function for a reasonable length of time.

Review: The LG TV I use this on was replaced by a Sony Bravia in my lounge which has fantastic sound that has an option to bring out speech, but very costly. Even moved to a smaller room the speech on the LG was still overcome by “background” music or just actors mumbling. I paid £350 for a soundbar plus £40 for an optical cable which was a waste of money.For £102 the Simolio would have saved me a fortune if I had found it earlier.The instructions are very in depth but basically just plug the base into the back of the tv ( used the optical one) and the speaker into a socket, leave 3 hours to charge. (go shopping) I checked the settings recommended on the TV but it had auto set them. Then just pick a programme turn it on and listen. WOW! It works with my Fire stick and Freeview. I have some older tvs in other rooms so on the to do list is to use the other 2 cables on them and see if I can just move the base and speaker to wherever I need to use it. The speaker sits on the base and can recharge on it too but I usually have it closer to me, even when its not on charger it lasts …well not sure as it has never run out and I only put it on charge when I remember. If I have it on too loud for my partner I just use the headphones which are even better sound. It has everything included for every eventuality. I JUST LOVE IT!!! Thank you Simolio.The reason I gave only 4 stars for volume control is that if you change channels you sometimes have to turn it off and on again… can I give 4.9 stars?. Apart from that I have never had to turn the volume up anywhere near max. so no biggie really.Now I can watch without subtitles and laugh in the face of movie makers who try to drown out speech with loud music.
