Title: Perfect for a private home assistant setup
Review: Very satisfied with this product! Excellent value for the price. I’ve been using it for a few months now together with Home Assistant, and it has worked flawlessly. As a European user, I found the documentation a bit US-oriented at first, so I had quite a few questions during setup. Their support team was outstanding — quick, detailed, and patient in answering all my concerns. Thanks to them, I now have a clear understanding of how everything works. They even sent me an extra part I needed for my European setup at no cost, which I really appreciated. My board has 28 circuits, but since circuits on the same phase can be combined, I was able to cover everything with the 16 clamps included. The measurements are very accurate — I compared them against some smart plugs with built-in power meters, and after several weeks of monitoring, the readings matched closely.Updating the firmware through the app was also a big plus. It allowed me to change the reporting interval from 30 seconds to just 2 seconds, giving me near real-time insight into my energy usage. I started out using their cloud integration with Home Assistant, but later switched to the private local setup. Everything now connects directly to Home Assistant without needing the internet — and the setup was much easier than I expected.

Title: Great Product at An Awesome Price!
Review: I’ve been using this for a while now. It’s a great replacement for my old monitor with a lot of new features. Installation is easy and straight forward, the split current transfers make that very easy. The app works well and it’s already set up for Home Assistant integration and the ability to use that as your server so no need to sed data out of your home. I had one small problem that tech support quickly and professionally took care of. I have 4 panels and lots of circuits to monitor so I will be buying several.

Title: Extremely good function and value power monitor
Review: App gives lots of data you can use to save on your electric bill. Data is also available via mqtt for your home automation server so automatic action can be taken as you want. Installation requires some electrical skill but is easy for folks who have changed circuit breakers and have done some residential wiring. The app is apparently designed by engineers, no marketing bs at all. When there is a power failure, you may see wonky data on startup. A way to tailor the length of the sensor wires would help during installation. These are just two minor inconveniences given the value it brings. Very cost effective.Mine has been installed for 11 months, working great.

Title: Great Smart Energy Monitor with Minor Accuracy Quirks
Review: This smart home energy monitor has been a fantastic addition to my setup. Installation was straightforward, the app is intuitive, and I love being able to see real-time energy usage for the whole house. It’s really helped me become more mindful about what’s using the most power and when. That said, I did notice a small discrepancy when comparing it to my utility power meter—the readings are consistently off by a few percentage points. Not a huge deal for general monitoring, but if you’re looking for ultra-precise data, it’s something to keep in mind. This meter is usually 20-50kwh under what the power company meter says im using. Again this is not a huge deal at all to someOverall, it’s a solid product with powerful insights and great functionality. Just shy of perfect due to the slight inaccuracy, but still absolutely worth it for most homeowners.

Title: Excellent buy, easy to connect and wire.
Review: Great price, works with Home Assistant, the android app worked just fine to setup and monitor the device. Installation did take a while mostly just trying to keep the plethora of wires all somewhat organized but was not difficult.

Title: not accurate and not easy to integrate with Home Assistant!
Review: device is not reporting accurately values at all. tried working with their support but it did not result with any resolution but only emails going in circles exhausting. also very difficult to integrate with Home Assistant although it is listed as compatible with Home Assistant which makes you think it is simple plug and play – which is not. very disappointing.

Title: One of the best options for smart home energy monitoring
Review: This SEM device is well-designed and seemingly well-built. It includes a dedicated app and supports local Home Assistant integration right out of the box. The CT clamps are notably compact compared to competitors, making them ideal for fitting into tight electrical panels. With guidance from the Home Assistant forum, setting up MQTT entities for the CT clamps and aggregated totals was straightforward. For privacy-conscious users, cloud access can be disabled by blocking the device’s internet connection and uninstalling the app. Personally, I appreciate the app’s real-time graphs for diagnosing circuit issues. The device seamlessly supports both cloud-based app functionality and local MQTT server integration.I’m sharing a few images: one of the tidied electrical panel, two app screenshots, and three from Home Assistant. One minor drawback is the lack of a knockout grommet for the WiFi antenna; I used a spare from a junction box to resolve this.Edit: I saw a latest revew saying the accuracy was questionable. So I did a comparison with the data from my electricity company. The accuracy is better than expected! For example, on a day the SEM reported 73.86kwh, the electricity company reported 74.11kwh. Only 0.33% difference. I calculated the number for a few more days. The difference are in 0.3-0.5% range. Much better than that the 1-2% range claimed by many SEM products.
