Title: Works well for my Mom
Review: I bought this in desperation. I’m not able to get Mom to a hearing center any more, so I’ve been trying OTC hearing aids with only minimal luck. When I was talking to a doctor about the challenges since Mom’s hearing loss is pretty severe, she recommended a similar device under a different brand name. I chose this one because it was the same concept, just with a higher rating. The first time I put it on Mom, when I asked her how it was working, she just kind of shrugged. However, when I was getting ready leave and I took it off, she said “Oh! I didn’t realize how much it was helping.” Today I put the headphones on her and put the microphone near her cell phone so she could have a normal conversation with my sister. It made a huge difference! Without this device, Mom could not hear my sister at all; with this, they could have a normal conversation, and my sister did not have to shout to try to be heard. The only thing which would make it perfect is wireless headphones! Dealing with corded headphones is such a pain, and it seems like cordless should be doable.

Title: Stopped Working
Review: The IRoger IR8 Hearing Amplifier arrived today. Set-up was easy, and it was working beautifully. Tried it with both the headphones and the earbuds, and it worked exactly as advertised. Then, after about five minutes, it stopped working completely. I’ve tried everything, and it just doesn’t work. They have other models; maybe I’ll try one of them.

Title: Works great, until it doesn’t.
Review: This worked very well for a few hours, and I had nice, crystal clear sound, no distortion.However, after several uses, the static from the microphone became unbearable. Popping the microphone out for a second and popping it back in helped…for a few seconds, and then the static started back up.The static now overpowers the directional sound making the unit unusable.

Title: Cords are too short and flimsy , broke soon after purchase.
Review: Charging wire broke within days. It is too short, by far. Wire from headset to amplifier is also way too short. Very difficult to place the Mic on a safe surface.
