Title: Manual is poor. Requires wiring tools and skills.
Review: I have an older hard-wired alarm system for the home. The monthly monitoring service cost kept going up. It used to be $7/month, but has gone up to $25/month.I don’t have a programming device for the alarm panel, so I can’t reprogram it to call my cell phone when the alarm goes off. Currently, it will still call the original alarm company, but they just ignore the notification.I decided to get this auto-dialer to set it up to call me if the alarm goes off. I think it will do what I want, but I haven’t installed this yet to try.The instructions (see my pictures) are poor. The device really isn’t a complete kit. The wire leads coming out of the device have to be connected, and you need to provide ther wiring connectors and tools yourself. The two blue wires will need to be spliced to a telephone line cord with an RJ11 plug, which will be plugged into a phone jack. I think the blue wires are to attach a phone if you want, but I don’t think this is needed in most cases. Red wife is to 12v positive, and black is to 12v negative. The yellow wire is the trigger wire.I will update this review after I install the device.
