Aside from Memorial Day mattress blowouts and Independence Day automall extravaganzas, summer had generally been devoid of the kinds of Black Friday or Cyber Monday or savings opportunities on everyday items. Then came Amazon Prime Day, which is returning for the 10th time right in the middle of July. The now-yearly sales event offers Amazon Prime members the chance to score deep discounts on just about anything you can imagine.
Some of our favorite early Prime Day sales
But for our purposes, we’ve usually found some of our favorite kitchen tools, handy gadgets and quality cookware brands for home cooks on sale during Prime Day, and this year promises to be no exception. However, Prime Day isn’t on just yet, so bookmark this page for later when we’ll update it with our top picks for Amazon Prime Day kitchen deals. For now, we’ve rounded up some best early Prime Day deals you can grab before the official event begins.
Prime Day FAQ
When is Amazon Prime Day 2025?
Prime Day is happening from Tuesday, July 8 through Friday, July 11. That’s four whole days of deals, which is twice as long as usual. And this year’s four-day Prime Day has come a long way since the first Prime Day in 2015, which only lasted 24 hours.
How do I access Amazon Prime Day deals?
To benefit from Prime Day’s major savings, you will need to have an Amazon Prime membership. Currently, that will set you back $14.99 per month or $139 per year (and if you’re between the ages of 18 and 24, you can qualify for a half-price discounted membership). Prime membership comes with a host of benefits, including free one-day, two-day, and even same-day delivery on many items, plus access to unlimited grocery delivery (for an additional monthly fee). Members also have access to Prime Video streaming content, Kindle e-books, and more. Recently, Amazon has included some added perks to Prime membership like Grubhub+, which means $0 delivery fees and other savings.
What discounts are available for Prime Day 2025?
While there’s no set discount amount on every product for Prime Day, in the past we’ve seen upwards of 50% or 60% off major brands. We expect to see the same thing during this Prime Day sale, so check back on July 8 for an up-to-date roundup of the best kitchen deals. This year, Amazon will also be introducing themed drops of “Today’s Big Deals” which will arrive at midnight Pacific time each day and include limited offers on many name brand products.
Cookware on sale right now
The biggest cookware deals are likely on their way starting July 8, but for now you can still grab a great deal on select Le Creuset enameled cast iron dutch ovens from Le Creuset and Lodge, as well as cast iron skillets, nonstick frying pans, and stainless steel cookware sets.
Small kitchen tools and kitchen gadgets on sale right now
Sometimes the most essential kitchen gear is the smallest. That includes the high-tech, like digital meat thermometers and immersion blenders, and the low-tech, like silicone spatulas and cutting boards. While the prices on the latter often aren’t too high to begin with, Prime Day can offer them for just a few bucks.
Coffee makers on sale right now
Whether you consume a full carafe every morning, you’re a one-cup-at-a-time single-serve coffee drinker, or you’re a convenient capsule-loving pod person, you can probably find a coffee maker or espresso machine to meet your needs on Prime Day. But right now, we’ve found sale prices on one of our favorite drip coffee machines, plus some great coffee pod alternatives that beat the pants off of Keurig.
Countertop kitchen appliances on sale right now
Prime Day is usually a great opportunity to save on handy everyday items like air fryers, Instant pots, rice cookers, toaster ovens, blenders, and stand mixers. But you can already get a discount on two of our favorite air fryers from Instant, a Zojirushi rice cooker, Ninja Foodi toaster oven, a Vitamix blender, a KitchenAid stand mixer, and the Instant Pot Pro.
Food storage containers on sale right now
The key to keeping your sanity in the kitchen just might be storage and organization. Luckily, Prime Day often has containers, silicone bags, and vacuum sealers on sale to help you do the job. And even before the big event begins, we’ve found useful storage solutions for your leftovers and more below.
Kitchen knives on sale right now
Good knives are expensive. But having good knives in your kitchen is invaluable. While some of our recent favorite knives are coming from smaller suppliers, you can still find a few nice blades and knife sets on Amazon. The Global 8-inch chef’s knife, one of our perennial picks for a quality cutlery option, is on sale for under $100 before Prime Day even begins.
