Title: Best gadget for flights!
Review: Just used this on my transatlantic flight from the US to Europe and it was such a handy gadget! I used it for my kindle and it felt really secure. I have a page turner for my kindle so I just needed something to stand it up and put it closer to eye level and this succeeded perfectly. If the person in front of you reclines their chair, you can’t use this to tilt it up to you, which is fine, because it also works as a stand if you put down the trey table. All in all, my favorite gadget I bought for my trip!

Title: Will NOT fly without this.
Review: It’s tiny, light, and holds my iPad Pro 10″ just fine. Can’t tell you what a difference it makes flying with my iPad at eye level. Works great on most planes. Only down side is that it’s not strong enough to be bumped around. So if you’re in the isle seat, you’ll need to quickly take your iPad down (easy) before someone in your row has to squeeze past you to hit the bathroom. If you’re in the window seat, you’ll never have a problem at all. Absolutely love this thing.

Title: A good solution sometimes, but not all tray tables are created equally…
Review: I just returned from an international trip where I took six separate flights. I bought two of these clips for additional stability, since i have a large iPad (12.9 inch) – I strongly recommend getting two if you have a large tablet. On the first leg of the trip, the tray tables were the low type that fold in half horizontally, and while the SkyClips worked, the tablet was held pretty low, and I was looking down the whole time to watch my videos. And unfortunately for the next two legs of my trip, the seat trays were slightly too thick to accommodate the hanging part of the clip, so I wasn’t able to use them as intended 🙁 I was however able to attach the clips to the back of tablet and use them as a makeshift stand on the open tray table. My remaining trips were return flights on the same plane types, so the experience was the same. The reason I’m giving them 4 stars, and not less based on my own experience, is that I can see their utility in the right situations. They’re very compact, and despite my concerns they might not be strong enough to support my tablet, they worked fine (at least in my case where I used two). I also noticed that the cord lock seems to have been improved recently, and the new one is much tighter on the second one I purchased. I’ll definitely be taking these along for future flights.

Title: Great except the cord lock too weak
Review: The idea of this is great and it’s well implemented– EXCEPT the weak, mis-sized cord lock.Pros: Small, folds compactly, and lightweight, and can be used to mount anything from an iPhone to a 12.9-inch iPad Pro with their cases (though the iPad Pro seems to require a pair of SkyClips due to the weight of the tablet).Cons: Cord lock failure, and it takes a bit of a knack to get it set up (which is why they include a handy instruction card). The biggest issue, as mentioned above, is the cord lock they use. I would have given the SkyClip five stars if the cord locks consistently held the cords in place, but it does not appear to be the correct cord lock for the size of nylon cording they use, so the SkyClip required modification to be useful. I had to disassemble it, replace the cord lock, and reassemble it. Fortunately, I happened to have both a right-sized cord lock and a tiny zip tie at my workbench leftover from previous projects, so the SkyClip appears to hold my devices VERY securely now. I originally ordered a two-pack, and one of the cord locks was okay out of the box but the other didn’t hold the cord in place AT ALL, allowing the cord to go completely slack. I returned that pair and ordered a replacement pair of SkyClips. Only one of the four I tested worked well out of the box, so the cord lock problem is clearly not a one-off issue.I haven’t actually flown with this yet, so I might amend my review if I have any issues during my flights, but I don’t expect to have any issues after my modifications. That said, I did test four SkyClips right out of the box, with a phone, iPad Mini, and 12.9 inch iPad Pro, by mounting them on a drawer and then jiggling the devices a little to simulate mild turbulence (or the person in front of me reclining their seat). Out of the box, only one of the four SkyClips held a small device securely with the jiggling. On one clip, the cord was completely slack even without any jiggling so the device came off easily. The other two cords were kinda borderline before jiggling but loosened as the device moved.I hope that the manufacturer reads reviews and makes the minor improvement needed to make this device better and more reliable.

Title: I love this little gadget
Review: I am really happy with how this little, seemingly useless, piece of folding plastic works. Just got back from a couple flights and the SkyClip held my iPad up on the seat in front of me without much excitement. The larger iPad does need a little help on more aggressive take offs but otherwise, it is more than capable of handling the weight of a 10″ tablet. Having the Skyclip is great and keeps the tablet at eye level and hands free even when you get the “tray tables to their locked position,” notice. Minor negatives are that the plastic doesn’t feel like the highest quality but also not terrible. I might worry about it holding up long term, but seems ok for now. Secondly, the little mesh bag that is included is basically garbage. After one round trip, the velcro is already coming off and the rest feels like it will quickly follow suit. Minor issues but a great travel companion overall.

Title: New model has poor design
Review: I ordered a bunch of these for friends and family for Christmas because I love the one I have. The new ones have two major design flaws. 1. The drawstring that holds the top clip down on the phone has a new design that slips whereas the original drawstring held tight. 2. The new case is cheaper and closes with just a thin strip of Velcro on the bottom. This Velcro would easily open if you hung these from a backpack for travelling. I’m going to return the new design Skyclip +, which makes me very sad.

Review: The design may be outdated as SkyClip did not clip and hold/sit my tablet. Tried so many ways yet. The airline seat designs have change (like now they have a double-fold table instead of 1 piece like before) so wasted my money. 🙁

Review: I had to fiddle around trying to slide it onto the top of the seat tray to make it fit. Once I had it on it was great to watch a show on my phone at eye level. It held my phone well for 2 flights so far with no issues.
