Title: for use in power outage
Review: Corded phones do not need electricity to work. Cordless landline phones do need electricity (wall outlet or battery). Cell phones have to be charged (electricity). I bought this corded phone for a senior because her cordless landline phone does not have a battery back-up. She has no functional cell phone. If she has a power outage, she would have no phone at all. For very little money, we now have peace of mind that a phone will always be available to use. I was especially happy to find a high/low/off ringer switch on the bottom of the phone. This will be handy in a bedroom where someone is sleeping and does not want to be awakened by the phone. It also has a high/low listening volume switch on the side of the handset. She had to use this phone for a week already, and it worked very well. So glad corded phones are still sold!

Title: Old school style phone works good
Review: This is your basic no-frills phone. For the price it’s a great buy and it works good. We purchased it for a 102-year-old person and they can dial the phone. They have a slight problem hearing clearly on the phone it would be nice if the volume was louder. But we’ve gone through several phones without success in finding any that are loud enough for them to hear who they are speaking to clearly. This phone has been as good as a phone that we paid $90 for.

Title: Problem with wall mounting
Review: Seems to be a good phone, but does fit standard wall mounting plates. First, the mounting holes are approx 4 1/2 inches apart. All my mounting plates have the studs 4 inches apart. Second, the recepticle on the mounting plates protrudes. This phone requires a smooth mounting surface.
