Ugg Tasman Slippers Review 2025

We talk a lot at EatingWell about comfy, supportive shoes. And we have shared on many occasions how podiatrists recommend wearing house shoes or slippers. I’ve taken that advice seriously—so seriously that I’ve tried to enforce a “no barefoot” policy at home. My daughters (a.k.a. my live-in style critics) have bought in, too… though in a way only tweens can.

While I shuffle around in my practically priced slippers, my daughters’ version of “house shoes” looks a little different—fashion first, foot care second. The UGG Tasman Slipper first entered our home as a work sample for me to test. As soon as the official testing period was over, they were quickly usurped by my older daughter. Fast-forward a year, and I’m the proud financial sponsor (not wearer) of multiple pairs of Uggs.

Here’s what we (read: the tween fashion authorities who commandeered my pair) love so much about the Tasmans: They blend style with comfort exceptionally well. The shearling lining is cozy, they fit true to size, there is good arch support thanks to a foam footbed and the mule style is, well, in style! 

I tried to pawn off some UGG mule knockoffs on them. You can probably guess how that went. (Hint: not in my favor.) But to my daughters’ credit, they weren’t wrong: The rubber sole on the real Tasmans offers way better traction, and even after plenty of indoor-outdoor wear, the sole barely shows it. The shearling lining and insole has flattened a bit with wear, but it’s still soft and—unlike one knockoff pair—hasn’t shed. 

And because my daughters are basically aspiring YouTubers, I also got the full “honest review” treatment. (If you’ve ever been forced to sit through a tween review video, you know what I mean.) Their constructive criticism? The back of the Tasman can feel snug against your heel at first. So, while you break them in, consider wearing socks to protect your heels from blisters. The suede upper can show water marks, but the Ugg Care Kit can keep them looking new.
