Title: Really great phone. Buy it!
Review: For the price this G1Max cell phone is a true value. It performs better than the cell phone I paid twice as much for just last July! I have no CONS for the G1 Max and I tried to find some.Physical qualities. The screen size at is perfect for me at about 6½ inches diagonal measurement. The right-angle frame lets me securely hold the phone and operate it just using my right hand. Although being sold as a budget phone the G1Max has all the features of a mid-level phone except for the display that is 1,600 by 720 pixels instead of a 1,080 pixel display used on many mid level phones. However, I see virtually no difference in the G1Max’s display quality versus a 1,080 pixel display, because I have a mid level phone with a 1,080 pixel display. So, I compared! I’ve watched Netflix movies on the G1Max and the movies are sharp and clear as are YouTube videos. The G1Max’s 50 MP rear camera has proven excellent for daylight photos both outside and inside the house. I especially like the panorama setting as it’s very easy to use. The night settings work well, although I have to hold the phone very steady because the camera takes two or three seconds to complete the photo. The front 8 MP camera takes very clear photos too.The Unisoc T610 CPU is very quick, and this CPU is also seen on cell phones marketed as mid-level. Having 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM is not seen much on a budget phone, and this is a “winning” feature for me. I installed a 64GB memory card and now the phone tells me I have a total of 192GB of Read Only Memory. Excellent. The 5,150 mAh battery last for two full days with 20% capacity still available on the third day. The phone charges quickly using the included charger. The transparent TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane gel) case is highly abrasion resistant. I dropped the phone off of a chair arm and there was no damage. Since I didn’t have to buy a case, I saved between 10 and 20 dollars here.Having a 3.5MM audio jack, as on the G1Max, fills an absolute requirement for me as I pretty much exclusively use in-ear headphones. The fidelity is amazing especially listening to Spotify and watching YouTube videos and listening to the cell phones built in FM radio.Operating System Properties. Android 12 on the G1Max is not encumbered with an overlay that some manufacturers put on their phones. It is basic with no bloat. I really appreciate this. The G1Max operates on the 4G network, and I use T-Mobile that shows LTE is active. I transferred a number of photos easily and perfectly using a USB to OTG (on the go) cable from the phone to my desktop PC.Conclusion. My G1Max is now my daily driver and will remain so for a long time. It does everything I want in a cell phone and for the price it’s an amazing value!

Title: Set your expectations appropriately
Review: First off, this is a cheap unlocked Chinese Android. That comes with pros and cons. First pro: what you get for what you pay is going to be excellent. Everything works well enough on the device, and functions appropriately. Second, there is no bloatware, and a very “pure” stock Android experience. That is a massive pro by the way. The specs for this are pretty decent, the CPU gets out of its own way, the GPU handles some gaming and maintains good image quality on a “good enough” screen that is bright and clear for the 720p resolution. The haptic feedback (vibration) isn’t terrible, but isn’t great either. Under basic usage at about 70% brightness, battery went from 100 to 86 percent in about 45 minutes. Again, not bad, not great. The downsides to this are the very obvious components that are absolute bargain basement which are the camera and the speaker. All the software tricks in the world cannot compensate for the fact that this takes straight up terrible pics through extremely low quality camera hardware. The speaker is tinny, doesn’t go loud at all, and sounds like an FM radio from the 90’s. And of course, there is only one speaker, competing in a world of stereo phones.Side note, I don’t think this has any water resistance rating, which would have been nice.So if you want a basic, cheap phone that is VERY versatile and usable, this is a great choice. I have had excellent luck with this brand before and I expect this one to be more of the same.TL:DR – compared to an iPhone, you’re going to be disappointed. Compared to any other Android you’d pick up in this price point from a carrier, this will blow those out of the water and provide a fantastic day to day experience.

Title: Another great phone from Umidigi that won’t break the bank.
Review: I received my new Umidigi G1 Max a few days ago and I’m already impressed. It’s hard to believe that they can pack so much into a phone at this price. I decided to go with the Galaxy Blue version of the phone to try something other than black for a change. The blue is like the bluest part of the sky on a sunny day so it’s a really nice shade of blue and I must say that I really like it. The phone came with a clear silicon case that fits nice and snug with easy access to all the side buttons. I like the way the phone feels in my hand as it allows for a good grip (some phones are too narrow and not comfortable to hold). The first thing I noticed up powering on was the bright and colorful screen as I tend to like bright colors that pop. I let Google load the apps from my account backup and this went quick and seamlessly. Scrolling through the apps was snappy and opening apps was quick with no lag. There is a built in FM radio but it’s not headset free, so you have to plug in your earphones for it function (there is a 3mm jack). I have been using the phone all day and I still have plenty of battery life left so I really like not having to worry about a dead battery while out and about. The phone does not have NFC or wireless charging in which I am not surprised about in this price range, but I do hope to see wireless charging in future models from Umidigi as most new vehicles now come with a built-in wireless charging pad. I briefly tried the camera out and yielded vibrant results using HDR. I noticed that the camera has a Night Pro mode, but I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. I’m using the phone on T-Mobile (4G) and had no issues upon inserting the sim card. Call quality was nice and crisp without issue. Now, with this being said I must say that there are other phones from Umidigi that will give you more of a punch with tons of features but a phone at this price point was beyond my expectations. I’m a longtime Umidigi customer and this is my fourth phone them as I started out several years ago with the S3 Pro but with the affordable prices I can upgrade to a new phone more often without breaking the bank.

Review: I recently got the Umidigi G1 Max Phone for my father-in-law, and let me tell you, it’s been a fantastic choice!I’ve always had great experiences with Umidigi phones, and this one is no exception. What I love about Umidigi is that they offer all the features you’d find in expensive phones but at a much better price. It’s amazing how they cover everything you typically need without breaking the bank. The G1 Max has really impressed me, especially with its camera upgrades. The picture quality is outstanding, and it captures beautiful moments with great clarity. Even though my father-in-law is older, he appreciates the phone for the same reasons I do. It’s user-friendly, reliable, and offers a top-notch experience. One thing that sets Umidigi apart is the consistent quality of their products. I’ve ordered five Umidigi phones over the years, and I’ve never been let down. They deliver on their promises and provide a solid device that lasts.A huge plus is that the G1 Max comes with a case and screen protector. It’s awesome to have that added protection right out of the box. It shows that Umidigi cares about their customers and wants to provide a complete package.Overall, I can confidently say that Umidigi has yet again exceeded my expectations with the G1 Max Phone. It offers all the features you need, delivers on quality, and does it at a price that won’t break the bank. If you’re in the market for a reliable and budget-friendly phone, Umidigi is the way to go. They’ve definitely earned my trust and loyalty.
