Review: Love this! A great way to see your electric use (on each particular outlet. I use one for an Inverter A.C. unit and watch the consumption wattage change. It keeps track of Money spent (you input the cost per Kwh), Days of use, wattage,volts, etc. It is easily resettable at the begi ning of the new month etc. It’s really hard to believe this is so low in price and really it makes you aware of what your spending-making it a good awareness tool. Why did you pick this product vs others?:No particular reason as there were many, but I can atteat that this brand works great

Title: An excellent and low cost way to measure wattage/kWh use around the house….
Review: Got a pair of these to use for monitoring/measuring wattage consumption for various appliances and devices in our house, prior to having a generator switch installed in our house.In order to determine the branches to power through the generator switch box and how much each branch will consume for the total wattage and capacity of our generator, these two plug in monitors are proving to be worth their weight in gold!The display is crisp, the text sharp and easy to read and the backlight display, when needed, is a huge plus. The assorted options available for settings and view of volts, amps, watts, watt-hours, electrical cost factor, etc, are also excellent.Delighted with these and I might be ordering one more to monitor another major appliance we’d be using during a power-outage and generator use.My only regret is not being able to monitor 240 volt appliances like our oven/range and dryer, but, I’m searching for one specifically for this and if they’re available, I’ll consider getting one of those as well.As for these wattage monitors, delighted with their performance and the reasonable cost per unit. 5 Stars all around!

Review: After having an alarming mishap with a portable AC unit this hot summer, I needed to determine the amperage draw on my circuit to protect my electronics.After looking for the run of the mill and industry standard Kill-A-Watt and seeing the price, I was interested in seeing if there were other similar items which would suffice. This product came up during my search, and seeing the price and the availability of a multi-pack for the same price as a single Kill-A-Watt I was tempted.After buying this item, I tried it on numerous outlets and with various devices plugged in, and tested them against the rated amp/current draw of the electronics I was plugging in and determined that the reader was accurate to the labeling on the devices that were drawing power.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a Kill-A-Watt type device. My only issue is that this device is a little larger than a standard Kill-A-Watt, and because of that, I need to be mindful of where the unit is plugged in.Pros:- Cheap- Effective- Backlit LCD- Numerous functions- Reads electrical draws accuratelyCons:- Can be large depending on application

Title: Good Easy power monitor
Review: Simple product and does what’s advertised. Short extension cord is great when the outlet has another device plugged in. Has enough useful features (readings) and easy to read to get a good picture of power draw of the device in question. Easy to use as there is not too many features to be confusing, and therefore, the instructions are simple and easy to follow.As this is my first monitor I’ve used, I was confused with the first display (reading) until I’ve had it running for two hours. Turns out when it says Wattage, it’s not accumulated like the KWh display, but the live power draw measure.

Title: Works!!
Review: A great tool to evaluate how much your appliances are costing you. Simple to use, just set your electric rate from your electric bill into the device, and it will tell you how much its costing you to use. Plug whatever you want to monitor into it. It will tell youi exactly how much power is being used and how much it costs to use it. I also use one for my hydroponic garden tent setup. The setup uses multiple lights, pumps, humidifiers, etc. I plug everything into this meter and I can see exactly how much I spent running everything for that month. Disigned well with a nice big backlit screen. A great tool to have!

Review: I was a bit skeptical due to some bad review, complains about the back-light and display, and also some terrifying pictures of molten plugs. However IF someone read the manual, it specifically specifies that the device configuration MUST be changed before use.Out of the box the power limit before a shut off is set to 3600W. Any reasonably knowledgeable person will set this to 1500W max, or even lower to match the expected power rating of the connected device.The display is fine, but must have the back-light on to see it. There are also configuration for setting the back-light timeout. I set it to manual, so I hit the “UP” button to turn it on, and use the “DOWN” to turn it off. You can choose other options.Some other complaints were about accuracy at low power, again this is addressed in the manual.So it turns out that most negative 1 star reviews were basically regarding issues that were addressed in the included documentation anyways.There are valid concerns, such as the device not being certified, or tested by various relevant certification bodies, and for this category of device it is desirable to have proper certifications. However, having the device certified will probably push up the price way higher than what this is selling for right now. Additionally the competition is charging a lot more for an inferior experience. So just take it for what it is.

Review: I have only had the meter for a week or so. We bought it to replace a much older unit (different model and manufacturer) that had mysteriously become very inaccurate. Everything so far has been quite pleasingly simple. The massive advantage over the old device is that this meter will integrate the power reading over a period of time to give total energy consumed in kWh. The old meter would only give current power consumption. If the equipment under test has fluctuating demand (e.g. anything with a temperature controlled heater or pump), it is very difficult to get a good idea of energy usage without this feature.I have compared the voltage reading against an accurate digital voltmeter and get agreement with 0.5%. I cannot be sure the current range is as accurate, because I could only compare it with a current clamp working at the lower end of its range, but the readings were consistent so I have no reason to doubt the plug-in meter. I do find it strange that nowhere on the unit is there any mention of the manufacturer or model number, although there is a label giving the electrical specifications.The instructions are very brief, as mentioned elsewhere, but then they’ll get lost anyway! It is obvious how to operate (except I have not used the cost function. I am perfectly capable of multiplying the kWh buy the charge rate using a calculator). The most important point to remember ( I will probably write it on the unit) is that you can clear the readings and restart the timer by holding don the “FUNCTION” and “UP” buttons for a few seconds. For us it is really useful that we can clear the readings without having to interrupt power to the equipment for which we were measuring the power consumption. I have not had any need to press the “RESET” button yet.The price was very keen and it’s doing a really good job for us so far. I have no reason not to give it 5 stars

Review: Ich habe etwa 9 Energiemessgeräte verschiedener Hersteller. Alle haben den Nachteil, dass die Displays nur aus einem bestimmten Blickwinkel gut abzulesen sind. Oft sind Steckdosen in der Küche, Wohnzimmer, oder hinter Waschmaschinen/Trocknern in Hüfthöhe oder einige Zentimeter über Fußleisten am Boden angebracht. Aus Sichthöhe sind diese Displays nicht oder kaum abzulesen. Ich habe auch Meßgeräte mit obenliegendem Display, aber ich muss nahe herantreten, um die Daten ablesen zu können. Normale frontseitig angebrachte Displays sind aus Sichthöhe meistens nur mittels Taschenlampe abzulesen. Deshalb suchte ich lange Zeit nach einem Meßgerät mit beleuchtetem Display. Diese gibt es, allerdings schaltet sich die Hintergrundbeleuchtung in kürzester Zeit von selbst ab. Das ist nervig, z. B. wenn ich Stromschwankungen beobachten oder Daten notieren möchte. Dieses Energiemessgerät für günstige 12€ bietet genau das, was ich lange gesucht hatte. Das Display ist sehr groß, alle Daten sehr gut ablesbar, allerdings nur bei aktiver Hintergrundbeleuchtung. Ohne Beleuchtung sind die Daten kaum zu erkennen. Mein Meßgerät entspricht nicht der (unbeleuchteten) Abbildung im Angebot. Das Display ist dunkelblau mit schwarzem Rahmen und die weißen Ziffern sind bei ausgeschalteter Beleuchtung kaum zu erkennen.Allerdings schaltet sich bei leichtem Druck auf eine der vier Tasten das hervorragend beleuchtete Display ein und alle Daten können auch aus weiter Entfernung klar und ohne Stress abgelesen werden. Und das für ganze 10 Minuten. Glücklicherweise stimmt dies nicht mit der Bedienungsanleitung überein, hier soll die Hintergrundbeleuchtung nur 30 Sekunden aktiviert sein. In diesem Fall hätte ich das Messgerät zurück gegeben. Meines leuchtet aber nicht 30, sondern volle 600 Sekunden. Die Messungen sind genau, mit den Funktionstasten kann ich alle wichtigen Messwerte durchblättern und die Kosten je kwh einstellen. Das Gerät zeigt Stromverbräuche ab 0,3 W an, erfasst somit auch die kleinen Standbyverbräuche. Ministröme unter 0,3 W werden mit 0,0W angezeigt. Das ist bei den meisten Energiemessgeräten ebenso der Fall. Für diese Miniverbräuche habe ich ein Meßgerät, welches ab 0,01 W misst. Das kann ich aber nur gebückt und mit Taschenlampe ablesen.Dieses Energiemessgerät hat keine Speicherbatterie, löscht also alle Daten (außer dem eingestellten Strompreis), wenn es aus der Steckdose entnommen wird. Dafür habe ich aber Meßgeräte mit Speicher.Alles in allem aber ist dieses Energiemessgerät für alle Normalnutzer, die ein sehr gut ablesbares Messgerät (wenn hintergrundbeleuchtet) mit einem hervorragenden Preis – Leistungsverhältnis suchen, sehr empfehlenswert. Mit seinem dunkelblauen, lange beleuchteten Display ist es auch ein ausgesprochen schönes Gerät.
