In this video I will be showing you how to make a really easy yeast risen vegan doughnut recipe that’s got a really nice twist on it by being made with beetroot juice and filled with chocolate giving it a really nice taste and also a really nice looking selection of donuts! For this vegan doughnut recipe I’ve used the frying method to cook them but this easy vegan doughnut recipe would be easy to bake in the oven or even in an air fryer, my personal preference is to make fried doughnuts, baked doughnuts in an oven or air fryer would be suitable for this recipe though.
This easy vegan yeast based doughnut recipe is loosely based around a bread recipe being twice risen hence the suitability for frying, baking or using an air fryer. The recipe below is really easy to follow and contains no eggs or dairy hence suitable for vegans, I used a stand mixer to make my dough for these vegan doughnuts but the easy to follow recipe could be made easily by hand.
The Recipe
200g Bread Flour
Pinch Salt (Approximately 2g)
10g Caster Sugar
150ml Beetroot Juice
7g Yeast (Dried, fast acting)
For the chocolate filling I used a chocolate syrup intended for coffee but it tastes soo good I just had to incorporate it into a doughnut!!
