Here I will show you how to prepare and bake the best vegan scone recipe easy, this is a dairy free scone recipie and is also a baking with beer recipies. Vegan baking scones is a really easy and fantastic way to change a traditional British tea time favourite and make it suitable for vegans, they taste so good nobody would know if you didn’t tell them that these scones were entirely plant based and suitable for vegans! Have fun giving these a try and make sure you grab a nice cup of tea to enjoy with your vegan scone.

In place of the traditional clotted cream I have made a cream substitute using almonds, almond milk and sugar, it really compliments the vegan scones perfectly.

The beer used is an ale made locally to where I live in the UK, it’s a sweet spicy ale with hints of ginger and toffee, it goes really well in the vegan scones and can also be used in other baked desserts such as my beer based sticky toffee pudding which can be found here:

The Best Vegan Scone Recipe:

350g Self Raising (Self Rising) Flour
A Pinch of Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
50g Caster Sugar
150ml Beer Or Ale (Can substitute with any carbonated drink)
95g Vegan Friendly Margarine
Pinch of Mixed Spice

100g Sultanas (Optional)

Clotted Cream Substitute:

125g Whole Blanched Almonds
100ml Almond Milk
25g Caster Sugar
