Title: Good quality
Review: First of all, these are not blue tooth. My drums sound great from the moment I sit down, because of these. Usually, your ears have to adjust to the high frequencies and the damage to your hearingIs detrimental. Sometimes I put an over head mic and run through my mixer to get the full kit sound.only thing I’m missing is some low end kick and I’ve ordered a butt kicker to solve that problem. These are not the most comfortable headphones, but you tend to get used to it. They will hurt your head after about an hour, It’s almost unbearable, but what do you expect from isolation phones, they have to fit tight.

Title: There is a reason these are a standard for acoustic drummers
Review: Super Hi-fidelity they are not, but they still are well in the good range, especially for what are intended for, that is protecting an acoustic drummer’s ears while still providing for an enjoyable playing experience. They do fit tightly, which I have to believe is good for isolation, but you will know they are on your head. These are NOT active noise cancelling, but rather passive noise isolating. You can still read the drums acoustically through the cones, but I find that adding just a bit from the drum mics in the monitor mix brings out more of the clarity and richness of the kit. Still, there is enough of the drums reading through that it would be very reasonable (in my opinion) to play just hearing them passively through the cones, at least playing inside an enclosed cage. Bottom line, I was surprised by how much I liked these, especially for the relative cost.

Title: Comes as Advertised
Review: I have been looking for “In Ears” and/or headphones for the last two years where:#1- What I hear (ie the click, tracks) cannot be heard out of my headset, to prevent microphones on stage bleeding#2- Where i can hear my own mix clearly This product does that! Yes, it is a bit tight and no it is not as good sound quality as the Sony MDR-7506. That being said; This is has solved the problem and I would say that the quality of the sound is very decent, where I would give the Sony MDR-7506 a 10 for sound quality , I would give this a 7 +/- . Quick note; I have been using the headphones with one ear out so I can hear how everything is sounding on stage to get a real feel. This still has solved the main issues and now the next problem is working on setting my own mixes on stage, which is a great problem to have!

Title: Fit
Review: I love these headphones for the most part they block out a lot of the sound which is what I need to listen to music while playing drums but the fit is absolutely terrible it feels fine for a bit but if you play for a few hours it really starts to hurt your head and ears idk maybe I just have a big head they are a struggle to put on as it is truthfully but they are so good at canceling out the sound I just go with it if you buy these headphones just make sure to take breaks when you wear them and Vic firth please make an updated version of these so they are more adjustable

Title: Great isolation, good bass, comfy
Review: I considered buying these for years, opting instead for ear buds. My ears are funny shaped inside so one is constantly falling out. Reluctantly I bought these. These headphones work great for me, but ymmv. They sound great, are reasonably comfortable, and do a fantastic job isolating. Man for the first time I can play drums AFTER another previously recorded passage and still hear.I’m amazed and kicking myself that I didn’t buy these sooner. They have very good bass. I would say they sound a bit bass heavy, but that works for and how I use them anyway.Only negative is the whole earpiece is connected to two very thin strips that if broken, render the headphone unwearable. At this price point, I’d like some extra support there.

Title: Work weel for isolation
Review: These have pretty good isolation from loud sounds the drivers sound good to me. They are reasonably comfortable to wear for several hours. They do not have a lot of adjust ability.

Title: Best isolation headphones that aren’t very expensive
Review: First off, the noise cancellation is stellar. Going from using earplugs to using these when playing the drums and practicing with my band is a huge difference. From my end, the snare and bass sound much more solid, compared to the earplugs that muffled them out. In addition, you can plug the headphones into an audio port and play music/sounds through the headphones while you play. This is the reason I bought these so that I can practice along with songs or a metronome and be able to hear both sounds. Lastly, comfort is good, but if you shouldn’t worry about that. I wear these headphones for hours on end and they fit great.I forgot to mention how durable these headphones are. The amount of times I have banged them on cymbals or dropped them is ridiculous and yet they still look brand new and remain in tact. Thank you Vic Firth!

Title: dead after two years – will buy again w/the warranty
Review: My son used these a LOT to drum for hours at a time. He is only 8 and they fit him great, so they likely are on the smaller side. After about a year the sound went out in once side. Now the tip of the plug has fallen off and they are useless aside from wearing for noise reduction.I am going to purchase a new pair because they do a fantastic job of reducing the drumming for his hears but I will likely purchase the warranty this time around. Wish they were more durable.

Review: Got these for band rehearsals as an alternative to having to use (often horrible quality, poorly fitting) in-ear monitors every time. They are great. The tl;dr is at the end.Let’s be real – unless your the guitarist from Linkin Park, you shouldn’t be playing shows with big headphones as a guitarist (and even then, it’s questionable lol). That being said – I was tired of having to clean my in-ear monitors all the time due to ear wax build up for jamming. Doesn’t help I have some cheap ones that immediately become useless if I don’t clean them after like 2 jams – sometimes they gradually get quite quiet. Then if I accidentally knock the cable they get loose, etc. Couldn’t hear my vocals at all for a month – was blaming everything except my in-ears (or rather, my poor maintenance of them)I got these Vic Firth’s as I just sometimes I wanted to be able to come in and jam and actually hear myself sing without any variables that come with in-ear monitors. THey are great and isolate sound obviously incredibly well – I’m surprised the 25 DB reduction isn’t as much as most in-ear monitors (37 db for most) – but that figure on the in-ear monitors is assuming you have a perfect fit – which isn’t always possible if your in-ear foam pieces don’t fit perfect in your ears, or if you accidentally knock them loose, etc. We jam very loud hard rock covers (2 half stacks, bass rig, loud jerk drummer) and didn’t have any ringing in my ears. Unlike in-ear monitors – its totally consistent too since you’re not one weird arm movement away from knockingThe sound quality isn’t excellent (for me it was totally fine since I’m not doing any recording work with them) – but its still like good – far better than any in-ear monitor under $500 you’re going to get. We were only running lead and backing vocals through ours so can’t comment on how a full mix would do.They aren’t incredibly comfortable – cups around the ears are fine but I just found the headphone and adjustment not perfect – but again totally fine for like a 2 hour rehearsal.TL;DR:I’ll still use in-ear monitors live for shows but these are a totally acceptable ‘on-ears’ monitor and hearing protection for rehearsals. Good enough sound, comfort and hearing protection. Isolates everything enough that you can hear whats coming through.

Review: This is my second pair (need studio set and one to take around with me) , have tried others and these do the job best. They are reasonably comfortable, a bit tight at first (for me) but do loosen up. The sound reduction is pretty good and audio quality seems fine for the purpose. Perhaps not up to studio engineer level, but good for monitoring as a drummer/guitarist, live mixing etc.Not being Bluetooth enabled , they are lighter and no worry about having to charge them! If you do need to go cordless, then a Bluetooth or similar belt pack does the job. They are reasonably robust, one set has been carried around in kit bag for the last two years and used in studio and festival stages, find them easier than ‘in ear’ protectors as easily removed and can be use on the desk as well.Perhaps the only two criticism are1. Length of cord could be longer (but an extension cord works)2. The 1/4″ jack converter should have been the professional ‘screw on’ type as used on most other professional headsets.Would I buy again – Yes.
