Title: Must have in classroom with nonverbal students
Review: I have several students with ASD in my classroom, of whom two are Level 3 and nonverbal. This Communication book is a huge help. The fantastic quality has kept it strong, and even after three months of use, it still looks amazing. There are plenty of cards to choose from and many have different pictures for the same words, making it easy for my student to pick their preference. I also love that I can remove single charts and the small single strip is great for outside activities.Overall, this has been one of my classroom’s best things and is more than worth getting.

Title: Great value!
Review: Very thorough and great choice of cards. I thought there were some important cards missing though and the binder closures broke on the binder the first time I used them.

Title: Bright Fun Communication book
Review: I’ve been wanting to get a communication book for a long time, for my son with autism. He’s classified as nonverbal and I was hoping this book could help out. There are so many Velcro loop tiles, there are a few repeats, like yes is in green and in black. There are two toilets, two walking tiles, little things, that give you the option to choose which fits your person better. One thing that kind of bothered me was that there is a misspelled word on one of the tiles. I think it was the pajamas tile. Also there are a few odd tiles, like it’s not something I would have called the picture, but I think that may just be what we call them around here? So, like dialect may be just something I didn’t know. But as I said there are so many that you can pick and choose which ones will work for your person. There are only 5 sheets, front and back that hold the tiles, I kind of wish it came with a few more, so that I could organize the tiles by subject. For example one sheet is only for food, so that he would know which sheet to turn to, to find whatever he’s looking to tell me. The tiles fill up the 5 sheets. There are actually left over tiles that don’t fit on the sheets because there are so many. There is a little strip of yellow, with a strip of hook (side of Velcro that’s rough). I thought it would be so that someone could make a sentence. But there aren’t any kind of verbs for that. There’s no “want” or “need” tiles. There are action cards, like walking, go, basketball, things like that. But not a lot for making actual sentences. Pictures show all the tiles, I tried to organize them, but kind of ran out of room, so they are as organized as I could get them. I haven’t figured out what the snaps are for. They don’t close the binder, and you don’t need them to adjust the binder in a sitting up position. I love the bright colors, it gets his attention. He’s trying to use it. And I’m thinking we might need to make a few tiles of our own to match our dialect. The sheets are thick plastic, they remind me of those plastic file folders that are cut in two. Very sturdy. Overall happy with it.

Title: Great quality, British cards?
Review: The quality of both the binder and cards are wonderful. They are sturdy, wipeable, and clear pictures. However, I live in the USA, and some of the words are not used here: Physio therapy, solicitor (lawyer), mum’s home, rugby, football (soccer ball), netball (volleyball), maths, biscuit (crackers), sweet (candy), plaster, trousers (pants), nappy (diaper), and jumper (sweater). The pictures are very clear as to what they are but some of the cards will be challenging if you plan on moving to written / spelling work. There are also some cards that I feel should be in here but are not such as Mom, Dad, or (any!) animals, and some cards that are not as basic to use such as taekwondo or tuition. The bulk of the cards are great. I just hope that when I order more cards, I will get the same quality, but USA version and some more practical cards.

Title: Good quality but many spelling errors
Review: The cards and book are good quality but many cards have spelling errors on them, not important right now as I’m just trying to get my son to communicate based on picture but will cause future issues later.
