Title: Making Life Easier for My Elderly Mother: A Handy Addition to Our Mini Cooper
Review: I drive a Mini Cooper, which can be quite a challenge for my elderly mother to get in and out of. I decided to give this handle a try to see if it would make things easier for her, and so far, it’s been working like a charm! She still struggles a bit, mainly because she’s a bit hesitant to trust that it will do its job without causing her to fall. But, I’m always there to give her a helping hand just in case. The handle feels super sturdy, is easy to use and fits perfectly in my glove box. It’s been a great addition to our trips!I can’t say for certain if it fits all vehicles, but I’ll update my review later to let you know if it works well with a Chevy Tahoe. That’s another vehicle that can be uncomfortable for seniors to get in and out of due to its height.

Title: They work just fine
Review: My wife is relatively small — she says she is “concentrated” — and suffers (silently) from sciatica. Hence, getting in and out of our two cars is problematic for her. (I am tall, and can grab the upper door jamb of the car to hoist myself out.) She seems to like these, and finds them useful. I keep one in her car, driver’s side (the door pocket thing), and one in my car, passenger side (ditto). Easy to “install”, and helpful.One still needs to “apply” them — put them in the door’s “hook” — and have the strength and range of motion to use them. But as leg-muscle-assistants, they are perfectly legitimate, and comfortable to use. Worth a try for the cost, $22. 4 Stars.A personal assistant might be 5 stars. I try to help, but she’s impatient.

Review: I bought a 2-pack of this handle – one for myself and one for my dad. These are great for getting in or out of smaller vehicles. The handle is as advertised – it’s very sturdy for being so light weight, it doesn’t cause any damage to the door latch, easy to use and I just store mine in the pocket of the door for easy access.

Title: Excellent aid for elderly with physical and cognitive needs to enter/exit car safer.
Review: My elderly mother in law has much difficulty getting in and out of the car, front seat easier than back, but she struggles and this device is a God send. It goes on easily, has great grip and stays in place to help her stay safe. Gives her more confidence and independence which is important to her. Easy to place and take off. Doesn’t cause any scrapes to car. Highly recommend this well designed and made aid.

Review: I purchased this Vive Car handle assist gadget after I saw one at the Occupational Therapy session at Holy Family Rehab hospital for my Mom. My 97 year old Mom fell and broke her hip a couple months ago and required emergency hip replacement surgery. At the hospital she was practicing how to get in and out of a car with her therapist. I am so pleased with this door handle assist tool and have since bought another for my sister’s car so she can help my Mom too. Other people have seen it and asked where I bought this tool. It’s super easy to use and does not scratch up my car door latch as it’s made of heavy duty plastic. The plastic tooth part that goes inside the latch does get scratched a bit but my car remains safe and unscratched. The tool is heavy and has a good grip which makes it sit on the door latch sturdily. I just hook it on the latch after I have my car door open and tell my Mom to hold on to the tool when she gets in and out of my car. It has supported my Mom’s weight (she’s only 114 pounds) but I am sure it can handle a heavier person’s hand and arm. She is more sturdy on her feet when she holds the door assist and getting in and out of the car is alot easier and safer without the risk of falling or slipping down the car seat. Thank you for making such a great tool and I feel alot less stressed when I have to take my Mom out.

Review: This is really helpful, was a little worried as it says fits 99% of cars and some folks have found it does not fit their car, luckily this fits my Toyota Corolla TS 2022 so am very happy, and it works a treat, easy to fit into the door catch, is very stable and allows a good strong grip, and also easy to remove again.It is nice it is fully covered so do not have to worry about any potential scratches to the paintwork/metalwork.Highly recommend and hopefully it will fit your car too.
