Title: Budget-friendly choice
Review: Finally find something affordable and perfect for my kid who keep breaking her headphones. The sound for this Hyper GO Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones is clear with nice bass and the hybrid ANC really helps cut down everyday noise, making them great for work and travel. They’re super lightweight and comfortable, so they can be wear for hours without feeling pressure. The battery life is impressive, easily lasting days between charges. The build does feel a bit plasticky, and the ANC isn’t as strong as premium brands, but for this price, these headphones deliver amazing value. Overall, a solid, budget-friendly choice for everyday listening.

Title: Feature-packed, ultra-light cans with marathon battery (temper your ANC/audio expectations)
Review: I’ve cycled through a lot of budget over-ears, and these Hyper GOs land in the “great daily driver” zone: easy to live with, stacked with features, feather-light, and they run forever on a charge. If you want something you can throw on for work, study, travel, and calls without babysitting the battery, this set hits the brief. What they nail:Connectivity that just works. Pairing is quick and reliable, and multipoint means I can keep a laptop and phone connected at the same time—music on the computer, instant hop to a call on the phone. Exactly how Bluetooth should behave.Battery for days. Realistically, you’re charging these far less often than most. Long stints with ANC on didn’t scare the gauge.Comfort and weight. They’re genuinely light with soft pads and a secure seal. I can wear them through a full work session without hot spots, though the band can press a bit on the crown after many hours and the cups get warm.Useful app. The companion app lets you tweak EQ, remap controls, and flip modes (ANC/Awareness/Transparency). If you like to fine-tune, you’ll actually use it.Wired versatility. 3.5 mm and USB-C audio are both supported. Plugging in tightens the sound versus Bluetooth and dodges any codec limitations.Sound & ANCOut of the box the tuning is the “fun” kind: big low end, lively top, and mids that step back. Great for pop, EDM, podcasts, and YouTube; less ideal if you crave a neutral studio curve. You can EQ the midrange forward and tame the bass, but there’s only so much you can squeeze from a budget DSP chain over standard Bluetooth. Noise canceling takes the edge off HVAC, bus rumble, and office hiss, but it’s not in the same league as flagship models—think “quieter room,” not “library on an airplane.” Awareness/Transparency modes are handy, though the latter mutes your media rather than pausing it, which can feel odd.Build & controlsThe housings are lightweight plastic but don’t feel flimsy. Buttons are clear and clicky (sometimes too clicky—you’ll hear the press inside the cup if you adjust volume mid-track). The included pouch is fine; the novelty wood stand is a fun desk extra, though not something I’d travel with. The charging cable is comically short.Quirks to knowInstructions read like they were translated twice; plan on a minute of trial-and-error to learn the button combos.Bass-forward tuning won’t thrill purists; even with EQ, you won’t mistake these for premium studio cans.ANC is “good enough” for commute/office, not for long-haul jet engines. No hard case in the box.Bottom lineIf your priorities are comfort, rock-solid Bluetooth with multipoint, long battery life, and a lively, easy-listening sound, these are a strong value. If you’re chasing top-tier ANC or a neutral, hyper-detailed signature, spend more. For the rest of us who want a capable, lightweight set that covers work calls, playlists, and travel without fuss, the Hyper GO is an easy recommendation—with expectations set appropriately.

Review: This headset comes with a stand that you can make from cut-out pieces, a travel bag, a manual (in English, French, Spanish and simplified + traditional Chinese), a short (30 cm/1’) USB Type A male to Type C male cable for charging, and a 1 m (3.3’) 3.5 mm male-male TRS headphone cable for wired use.CHARGING AND BATTERY LIFE: In the default mode, with ANC enabled, a bit over 45 hours of constant listening at a safe volume; it will last longer when idling. Bluetooth Battery Reporting allows compatible devices to see how much charge is left in the headset’s battery in increments of 10% (4.5 hours); when about an hour of charge is left, the headset begins to announce “Battery low” every minute. When charging, which can also be done from a USB Type C charger if you have a USB Type C to C cable, the headset shows a breathing red LED whilst charging, which turns off when done. This is colourblind-friendly.BLUETOOTH RECEPTION: Excellent; it goes through most kitchen appliances and goes out quite far (over 20 metres from the sound source). However, supported codecs vary from one session to another, which is something I had never seen before. The first time I connected the headset, and every 1 in 5 connections afterwards, it only supported the highly compressed and muffled codecs mSBC and CVSD, as if it were recording, and it played absolutely nothing in CVSD. The second time, SBC, SBC-XQ, mSBC and CVSD were supported, and only SBC-XQ played anything; the others output absolute silence. I had to retest it multiple times, and it turned out to be unreliable to get started on codec changes caused by switching between playback-only to microphone recording, so you might need to exit and reenter calls if you hear no one. Once audio output starts, it seems to be mostly OK until disconnection. This issue may be fixed by a future firmware update using the app.SOUND PROFILE: Extremely bassy, which in some audio tracks may make treble feel almost absent; masculine voices sound much more boomy and feminine voices sound both boomy and muted, which is really odd to hear. The Deep 360 audio feature (double-click the ANC/awareness mode button) increases stereo separation and makes the sound stage seem very wide. Listening through these headphones for too long, even at safe volumes, can cause some weird bass fatigue, where things sound really odd for a while after taking them off. ANC being on by default may worsen this.ANC AND AWARENESS MODE: Not great, especially in awareness mode, where I can’t hear my surroundings. With ANC on, they’re not muffled enough. The headset starts out with ANC enabled, which is a decision I’m not sure I agree with. The sound profile being bassy means that treble sounds aren’t masked (ANC) or reproduced (awareness) enough.WIRED USE: With a quite low volume, so impedance is probably rather high, but it’s very workable. When wired, ANC and awareness modes are not available, but in return, it works even if the battery has run out. The bundled TRS cable can’t work to record audio from the microphones, and it brushing against shirts can be heard amplified through the right earpiece.APP: The manual mentions a Vokalen Connect app to configure some of the headset’s settings. It has a relatively short privacy policy (4 pages) and EULA (2 pages), and in it, I see the ANC is indeed on by default but can be turned off, and that the equaliser is indeed extra bassy by default but can be changed. To have an experience similar to reference headphones, you need to create an EQ preset that has everything on neutral and save it, as the equaliser cannot be turned off. Other available options are to tune the extent of ANC and transparency in those modes, te disable voice announcements, to enable a low-latency game mode, to change double-taps or triple-taps to toggle this game mode, or to enable or disable the voice assistant command, multipoint connection or monitoring the headset mic. It can also perform firmware updates.MULTIPOINT CONNECTION: Up to two devices can be connected at once, and they switch with a 3-second latency whenever the second device starts sending audio. Whenever devices switch, the first one gets sent a signal to pause media playback, too. This is super well done.VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS: “Powering on”, “Powering off”, “Connected”, “Disconnected”, “ANC on”, “ANC off”, “Awareness on”, “Deep 360 on”, “Deep 360 off”, and “Battery low”, well enunciated in English by a feminine voice.OTHER NOTES: Whenever audio output starts, the audio stream fades in anew over about 1 second to prevent jump-scares a bit. I really appreciate that. The earpads are quite comfortable and don’t have too much tension.

Review: This seems to be a very good offer for its price range ($60 CAD at the time of writing). When you have a quality connection (more on that later), it has great sound quality. ANC is a great feature for its price range too. Multipoint connection is another plus. The first time I connected it to my PC via Bluetooth, I had many issues, but after connecting it to my Android phone with the app, it did a software upgrade, and most of the previous issues seemed to have gone. I will not compare its ANC quality, but it is definitely there. Right after you turn the headphones on, it activates the ANC mode, and you can feel the outside noise decreasing. Multipoint connection is also a plus. When I turn the device on, it automatically connects both to my phone and to my PC, giving to connection notices two times. Whichever device I use, the sound is there. No wonder they emphasize “lightweight” several time on the product page. It is really light. Combine that with how soft the material is and how comfortable it fits on your head, and you can forget you are wearing them. Materials seem of good quality and the headphones seem durable. Fitting is easy with telescopic extensions, and the storage takes less space with the ear muffs turning 90 degrees for storage. Aside from a USB-C cable and a phone jack, there is also a bonus build-yourself stand in the box. It is made of a very thin layer of wood, but I won’t complain about an extra they give. The headphones do not have an extending mic system (like the kind that goes to the front of your mouth) and I haven’t tested their quality. One thing I wish they had was an LED indicator to show the device is on. Most of the information (turning on, turning off, connection, etc.) is given through a vocal feedback (a voice speaking) by the speakers of the headphones. However, I had an issue in connecting it to my PC; that is, connecting and getting a good sound. The Bluetooth connection to my phone yielded good sound quality. My first Bluetooth connection to my PC also seemed to produce an acceptable quality the first time, but later, I kept having terrible sound quality from the PC. I am not sure if this is a fault with the headphones or with the PC. I had similar issues with other headphones too, but I also had other headphones that produced good sound from the PC without any problems. Interesting thing is when I tried to connect the headphones to the PC via the audio jack, the sound quality was quite good again. But another interesting thing was that when you do a connection via the audio jack, the headphones automatically turn off without giving any notification. Of course, that also means that you don’t have ANC if you connect it via an audio jack. However, the sound quality was still very good with the headphones off and connected via the audio jack.Overall, I mostly liked it, thanks to its nice features (ANC, light weight, multipoint connection, app control, volume able to quite high) especially at its price range. However, the connection issue with the PC caused me to strike a star from my rating. I am still not sure what the cause is. For use with the PC, my options are terrible sound quality with the Bluetooth connection or great sound quality with headphones turned off with an audio jack connection. If you plan to use it with you phone, I can recommend it. If you plan to use it with your PC, I have to figure out what causes the issues I am having before making any recommendations.

Review: This is the first review I’ve done for a set of headphones from VOKALEN, a Canadian-based company. Overall, I’m rather impressed by the sound quality via Bluetooth 6.0 with ANC, the very lightweight build quality, and their mobile App integration in the iOS version I tested with. Priced under $60 at the time of this review, honestly, the Hyper GO wireless over-the-ear headphones certainly punch above their weight class. In the box, you’ll find the headphones in a simple microfiber cloth bag with a drawstring to protect them when travelling, a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone cable for use when plugged in, providing access to the full certified Hi-res Audio frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz. This “Special Edition” version also includes a small eco-friendly wood headphone stand that you can assemble at your leisure. The build quality is good; however, I understand that the lightweight feeling of these headphones may give the impression of being a budget build, which I don’t think is the case. The matte white plastic build of the headphone earcups, which can swivel flat, and the two mounting points seemed good by my standards. I’ve reviewed Bose, Skullcandy, and Sennheiser headphones that were similar at higher price points. I’m not going to proclaim that these are rugged, but if lightweight headphones with great sound are your goal, the Hyper GO are worth your attention. The Bluetooth 6.0 multi-point connection was solid and stable during my testing time, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the ANC and Transparency modes, as well as the EQ options and additional features available within the VOKALEN Connect App, which is compatible with both iOS and Android. The App integration is first-rate, and I appreciate the option to set auto power-off settings, update the firmware, and access other customization options. The EQ presets are varied, and I preferred the Jazz setting for most music styles, as it balanced the bass and highs for a great listening experience. The DEEP360 sound profile was also surprisingly good, and I particularly enjoy it when gaming. These headphones offer a low-latency Game Mode as well.Overall, for $60 at the time of this review, I believe the Hyper GO provides a very good listening experience with a competitive feature set, thanks to its multipoint connection, support for the latest Bluetooth codecs (with compatible devices), and a mobile App with a rich feature set that is worth installing. The ANC is above average and doesn’t trade sound quality for sound cancelling, which I appreciate. I also like that I can always fall back to a hi-res audio wired connection if the 60-hour battery life doesn’t meet my travel needs, which I find unlikely. A recommended buy based on first-time reviewing a headphone set from VOKALEN, and I look forward to seeing what additional models they release in the future.

Review: I’ve had many headphones over the years: Audio Technica M50, Koss Porta Pro, Bose QC35, a bunch of Anker Soundcore, Sennheiser, Sony, you name it.This headphone was from a new brand for me. They claim to be designed in Canada, which I can’t confirm (Sonictek seems to be the parent company, which is located in BC). At least the manual seems to be written in decent English.Sound Quality:The default configuration seems to be optimized for bass heads. It was OK, but not my style. When I installed the app and changed to Studio preset, well, now we are talking…Unfortunately I don’t have some of the other higher end headphones to compare with (M50 was not comfortable and Porta Pro was open style and would leak sound, so both got to go). But I still have the Bose QC35 which is similar in functionality and style.Compared to QC 35, the Hyper Go is very well placed. The sound is similar in style while being more fuller. I actually preferred the sound of this one in some songs. And no, I don’t think that it is better than M50 but it is very good value for 1/3 of the price.Comfort:I’d say it is almost a tie. The QC35 has very similar comfortable soft pads just like this one. The only difference is that this one pushes slightly more against the ears (maybe because it is new and my QC35 is 7yo), but not bad at all. You may want to stretch it using a box which is standard practice.Noise Cancelling:Now we are getting into Bose’s territory, which used to be the king until Sony caught up recently. In my tests, the Hyper Go worked very well at removing the constant hum from engines (both airplanes and vehicles), but had little impact on voices and other sounds. It did, however, cut some of the “echo” when speaking or making noises in empty rooms. The QC35 managed to reduce voice sounds a bit more, but the difference was surprisingly small. Performance with engine sounds seems very close.Build quality and portability:Both have excellent build quality. QC35 despite having almost identical size, can fold, so it is slightly more portable to put in the included case, while the Hyper Go comes in a cloth bag.Connections:Both connect via bluetooth and come with extra cables. The audio cable on Bose is gold plated, thiner and made of silicone, which is higher quality than the one included with Hyper Go. Both come with USB charger cable. Bose comes with the old airplane adapter (is it still useful?). Connection in both was stable and reliable while range on Hyper Go was slightly better (about 10m vs 12m, measure through walls). Conclusion:At $60, this is a very good deal for a headphone. It is comfortable, sounds very decent, is reasonably well-built, has a solid Bluetooth connection, delivers about 80% of the noise cancellation of my Bose, and offers long battery life. I couldn’t find any major issues with it. So highly recommend.
