Title: A step backwards
Review: We live in Leland NC which has been growing at a very fast rate . With that being said , Verizon Wireless has been extremely slow to respond to the growth so has all of the other companies which brings me to our dilemma . Even though we installed a Verizon provided extender which did help in the house our service is NOT acceptable , dropped calls & at times poor quality (can you hear me now) .So because of the cellphone issues & not much help other then the extender plus 2 emails to the state agency about bad service did we install a landline . Hence the purchase of these phones . We’ve had Vtech phones in the past & bought these due to past experience . A big screen because of older eyes plus enough features & an answering machine is all we needed . The sound quality is very good , too plus blue tooth capable .

Title: Great upgrade for home
Review: V Tech is a great phone. This replaced an older version for Bluetooth connect to cellphone and ability to block unwanted calls. Poor cell service (1-2 bars) in one room at home but with cellphone Bluetooth connection to VTECH provided phone service throughout home. Landline service or cellphone sound clear. Simple setup and easy to use. Great value, highly recommend.

Title: Great customer service
Review: This was my original 1 star review:My 90 year old Dad had an earlier VTech phone system that had a problem where periodically the audio would stop working. My Dad would make a call and he could hear the other person but the called person could not hear him. VTech advised us to unplug the main unit and then disconnect the battery in each of the handsets, wait a couple of minutes, and then plug everything back in. That was kind of annoying so we bought a new set of VTech phones for him, this time the VTECH VS112-3. Unfortunately this system periodically does the exact same thing! Every other month or so the audio stops working and we have to unplug the main unit and disconnect the battery in each handset. After plugging everything back in the audio works fine. VTech tech support told us that they have never heard of this problem with this model. They had us send them the system so they could study the problem. They sent us a replacement system and it has the exact same problem! Every couple of months the audio stops working and my 90 year old dad has to go through the reset steps described above. It is really not acceptable. We should have returned them when it first happened.Why did I upgrade it to 4 stars? Vtech customer service escalated the issue and replaced the phone system. So far no problems. hopefully it keeps working.

Title: BEST PURCHASE!!
Review: For the past few years I have been using a robocall killer that worked great up until a few months ago. Since then, I have been receiving up to 20 spam calls daily, the robo killer just stopped working. Anyway, I did some research and ordered this phone for the screening option. I set it up a few days ago and since then, I can see that over 30 calls came in (all spam) but not 1 came through to bother me!! The screening absolutely works and has saved my sanity!

Title: Painful design
Review: I got this set to move away from one with soft buttons which inevitably break over time. Boy, was I wrong.The design of this set seems purposefully done to torture the user as much as possible.Cons:* The handsets are SLOW to react to user input (e.g. when you scroll through the missed calls, it’s slower than one per second). This is by far the worst point, since it affects everything else.* When you enter a number, then pause for a few seconds without dialing (e.g. to look for something), the handset decides it waited long enough for you and erases everything you typed, without any way to get it back other than typing the number again. This might seem like a small thing until you are trying to call a number as you hear the digits from somewhere, and then quickly stop to write down some info you will need in the call.* The missed calls obscure voice messages, so until you clear all the missed calls you won’t know whether you have any messages.* There is no way to look just at missed calls, so if you missed one a while ago you have no choice but to _slowly_ scroll one entry at a time through the call log until you find the culprit.* It doesn’t have voice announcement. Until now, I didn’t realize how useful this was to hear who is calling without interrupting your work to look.* Only a couple of years down the road, the microphones on the handsets mysteriously stopped working. In the darkness of your home, nobody can hear you scream.* No clip to hang it to your shirt while talking and working around the house.Pros: you can use it for basic function, sometimes.

Review: I waited a week after I set up my new system before I posted a review. I want to tell you that my wife and I now have peace and quiet from the robo and unsolicited calls. We used to get robo calls at 4:30 in the morning. We had to take our phones off line every night. No more! Things are so much more peaceful. I am very critical of these reviews and do not believe everything I see on them. I have to tell you that I have been looking for something to do this job for several years now, the other call blockers just did not do the job. #1 rave is the ability do down load your phone numbers from your smart phone. You save hours and hours of programing by using this feature. I cleaned up my iphone numbers (long over due) and downloaded them into this system. I must say, it did take more time than I thought but at the end, there they were, all listed as they should be. #2, maybe a bit of a rant BUT this phone does do so much and programing it can be a bit of an issue if you are not tech person. However, this company does give a very good set up procedure, albeit it is a bit complicated. When you are ready to do this, relax, take your time, leave the wine alone and read the directions several times before you start. Do not expect to have everything set up the first time. I did not. I went over everything 3 times before I was satisified. It was well worth it and the system is great. Sorry, for over doing my review but I am so happy I finally found an out to these phone hackers and have peace. Give it a try but be patient. Good luck.
