Review: Good size for 2nd graders’ hands. Not scientifically clear and accurate, but was accurate enough for our projects. It was a good price. Each child was happy to have a hand lens that they could keep and take home for their investigations.

Title: Big hit with the kids at our butterfly walks and nature activities
Review: I host a number of outdoor activities that encourage participants to experience nature. During our first butterfly walk I challenged the kids to look for caterpillars and eggs. The kids immediately put on the lanyards and started to explore. Because of the lanyards the kids didn’t loose the magnifying glasses while they were out and about searching for butterflies. I used them with some science boards to show snake skins for another activity with teens. I was impressed with the type of magnification based on the price of the glasses. Reasonable clarity for an item designed for kids. Good value for the cost.

Title: Fuel for any child’s imagination.
Review: Our four year old granddaughter equates looking for something to a magnifying glass we have in our kitchen desk drawer. It was a possession of her long ago passed Great Grandmother. When she was tiny, she saw us pull it out to look at very small print on just about anything. At some point, when she or we were looking for something of hers or anything else in the house, she went to the drawer, pulled out the magnifying glass, and started helping with the search. You can imagine how thrilled she was when I gave her one of these. Immediately, it went around her neck and she began to look at everything she could find. She loves taking walks and collection leaves, rocks, berries, pine cones, etc. She’ll examine all closely and now has her own magnifying glass with which to do it. What curiosity she has and this is the perfect tool to help fuel that curiosity. We’re going to keep out several for our own use in the house and send the rest to her school for use in elementary school science classes. They’re sturdy and oh so clear. Excellent.
