Review: I bought an ebay case for my 7th generation Kindle a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t fit. The item was shipped from China and to send it back, would have had to pay to ship it back myself so I lost $12. I then went to Amazon, thinking they no longer made cases for older Kindles and found this vendor and ordered it and the case seems well made and fit perfectly. I am very happy with it. For a Kindle Paperwhite, you need a case because the device opens up automatically once you flip open the case cover. My older Kindles didn’t have an automatic open and didn’t need a case but Paperwhite’s do. On my trip to Europe, I didn’t have a case and constantly had to reset my Paperwhite after recharging it because it didn’t have the case cover.

Review: I like this case way better than the case I originally bought a few years ago. This one isn’t as bulky or make the Oasis feel much heavier than it is. The previous one I had was one that folded 3 different ways for use as a stand so you wouldn’t need to hold the Oasis and had big magnets in to allow it to do so. I don’t recall if I reviewed the original case I bought. If I did, it was probably 4 or 5 stars as well. Over the years I’ve liked it less and less and even stopped using it. That wouldn’t change my rating. It just shows my change in what I want. I ended up preferring to carry my Oasis in an old Crown Royal cloth bag for awhile.I haven’t dropped my Oasis to know how durable this case is, but it seems like my Oasis would be just fine. I like the blue more than I thought I would. I usually like a blue denim cover when choosing a color other than black, so I’m pleased that I like it.I have one complaint that I can levy at every Oasis case, whether or not I’ve owned it. Maybe this isn’t the place to say it, but I am. Its how they open. I hold it and all my e-readers with my left hand. For all, but the Oasis, its not a problem. Does no one make an Oasis case that opens the way western books do? The Oasis covers make it so the reader slides down a bit against the cover in my hand, pulling on the binding. Granted, they all do that to an extent, but its different when the binding is in my palm, like with other ereaders, rather than not, like with the Oasis. I prefer using the buttons with my left thumb. Switching feels wrong, for lack of a better description. Its probably a weird compliant, but I have weird habits.
