Title: Exactly What I Wanted
Review: I was looking for a magnifying glass lamp to use with my WorkSharp Professional Precision Adjust knife sharpening kit and chose this one after browsing all options. It’s exactly what I wanted. It has a nice large crystal clear viewing lens that really lets me see the knife blade I’m working on up close, well illuminated and with great detail. It offers variable brightness levels, 5 colored light options and both a table top base and side of table vice clamp. Build quality is excellent, it’s also a very good looking product aesthetically and the adjustable arms move and lock up very well. The USB plug and cord is very light and discreet and plenty long which I also really like. And there’s also virtually nothing to assemble when you remove it from the packaging. Very happy with the functionality and ease of use of this magnifying lamp for such a fair price. There are several much more expensive options on Amazon, but this one is the best of both worlds, a high quality magnifying lamp that looks and works great for a fair, low price. It exceeded expectations in every way. I highly reccommend and hope this review was helpful.

Title: It works adequatly but could be improved
Review: What I like about this light is that it has a heavy base and that it is not a clip on light. It feels sturdy and the light is positionable to make it work in different planes. The lights are bright enough and they can be adjusted. The only down side is that there is no cover for the magnifying lens. I just cover mine with a soft cotton cloth to keep the dust off of it. I like the fact that the power cord can be used as a regular plug or as a USB power cord. That is a nice feature to have.I am used to wearing a headpiece that has different diopters for my close up work. I thought I would try this to see if it could replace the head piece. For me, the electric one doesn’t work as well, even though it does have the additioanl lighting. It moves too easily and doesn’t allow me to get as close as I can with my headpiece. But it does work as stated, so I can use it for other things as well.

Title: This is the handiest and best quality magnifier with light that I have ever had!
Review: I have an Ott light floor model with a larger lens, but the stand is very heavy and it’s not portable.This was purchased to replace the cheaper gooseneck model with a plastic smaller lens. The lens, by the way, which was not the strong 10 X magnification that this one is.I’m doing some very fine lace knitting, with very small diameter, knitting needles. This magnifier is ideal. I love that I can use the heavy stand, which is large enough and well weighted. There’s no tipping over with this!Everything is perfect on this. Where the buttons are for the light and what kind of light, and that the goose neck adjust easily and holds its place.p.s. Photo shows the weight I am using when goose neck has to be extended. But this lamp also comes with a clamp that can be used instead of the broad round base, if desired..

Title: Decent light, inadequate base
Review: The light & controls seem to work well (I’ve only had it for a short while, so time will tell.), but I’d intended to use the base rather than the clamp this time. Unfortunately the base is too small & light. It doesn’t support the lamp when you try to stretch it across. Pretty frustrating.
