Title: Clear, comfortable readers with effective blue light filtering
Review: I have been very satisfied with these reading Glasses for everyday use at home. They’re no-frills in the best way-simple design, lightweight frame, and just what I needed for reading and screen time without distraction. They’re comfortable enough to wear for hours, and the frame doesn’t pinch or slide around, which is a plus for something that gets used daily. One thing I noticed right away is the slight yellow tint on the lenses, which actually works in their favor. It’s subtle enough not to distort colors too much, but it noticeably reduces eye strain during long sessions at the computer or reading on a tablet. The blue light filtering effect is very real -my eyes don’t feel nearly as tired or dry at the end of the day.Clarity is excellent. The lenses are sharp and distortion-free, and I didn’t have to spend time adjusting to them like I have with some cheaper pairs. Whether I’m reading a paperback or looking at small text on a phone, everything stays crisp. These glasses have quickly become my go-to around the house, especially in the evenings. As for build quality, they feel pretty solid for the price point, but I did run into a minor issue. On one pair, the screw at the hinge started to loosen up after about 5 weeks of use. Fortunately, it didn’t fall out completely, and I had a tiny screwdriver set on hand to tighten it back up. It would be a nice improvement if the manufacturer applied a dab of Loctite or thread-locking compound at the factory just to prevent that from happening.Still, for the price, these are a great value. You’re getting multiple pairs (depending on the pack) with solid optical clarity and good comfort, and they don’t feel disposable like some bargain-bin readers. If you’re the type who likes to leave a pair in each room, this is an easy win.Overall, these glasses check all the boxes for casual home reading and screen use. They’re simple, effective, and comfortable-and with just a small tweak to the hinge screws, they’d be even better.

Title: Great price for a very good product.
Review: Second time I’ve ordered these glasses. My only complaint is the are a little tight for my big head, so wearing them for too many hours straight can begin to feel uncomfortable. For most people, they’d probably fit great. Now to the positives: although not high-end, great quality for the price. I’m used to purchasing cheap readers a couple times a year due to breakage and loss as I navigate my busy life. I made it past a whole year before purchasing these again, and mostly due to loss (my husband steals the more masculine looking ones), with only one broken pair as I recall, and one pair just now experiencing a problem with the coating coming off the arms that rest nestled in my hair just about all day when I have them on or on top my head. They have clear lenses with frames that don’t impede my vision. I was initially nervous to purchase these, but I’m very pleased with the overall quality and durability.

Title: Imo, not great for reading during daylight but a help for late night blue light blocking.
Review: I had a lot of difficulties with the coating on these lenses. There are rainbows that reflect off the rainbow coating back into my eyes off the glasses, especially if I have any bright light coming at me from the side. They always look smudged even if they are freshly cleaned, and I’m doing everything I can to only touch the frames. This is both because they seem to attract smudges and because the coating itself somehow looks smudged. For me, these are just awful for reading during daylight. I cannot yet speak to their scratch resistance.BUT there has been a very happy side effect of trying these glasses, and that is that it really does help a bit with sleep. While I was waiting on new glasses from another company, I ended up doing more nighttime reading than usual and used these glasses as a stopgap with breaks to ease my discomforts. (They still aren’t truly good for me for reading, even in low light, although they are less problematic in low light late at night than they are in bright indoor daylight/office light.)At night, I turn off regular lights and use red light reading lights, but these really can’t make up for the amount of blue light that many of us get in our windows from city lights or floodlights on garages. I have a blackout curtain in my bedroom, but it’s really not possible in my living space. I also use blue Bleblocker sunglasses for those nighttime activities where I can see well enough with them on. But unfortunately that means removing the blublockers quite often, as such dark and large lenses are really prohibitive for a lot of tasks. And I’m pretty late to put them on, simply because I want to get as many things done at night as I can… for which I need better eyesight. Therefore, I noticed a distinct benefit in having to use these reading glasses while waiting for my other glasses to arrive. As a result of this discovery, I have purchased zero magnification glasses from this same seller.I have noticed that almost anywhere else you look the blue blocking reading glasses that you can get block at most 30 to 35% of the blue light that comes in directly through the lens (never mind what’s coming in through the side). I imagine that this number is simply because of the difficulty in making a coating that maintains clarity, etc.. while the lenses that only have a 30 to 35% protection will be helpful for me when I need to read at night, I can put this company’s 0.0 on for anything else that I am doing late at night where the blublockers would impede my vision too significantly. Also, their customer service is unparalleled, so five stars for that.UPDATE: I made an interesting discovery as I’ve been testing out my newer readers that are only supposed to block 30-34% blue light. I decided to use the blue light testing card that comes with these Amazon glasses on my assorted readers from F——r G—-t. I had purchased quite a few clearance readers and sunglass bifocals because I still wasn’t 100% sure I had the right diopter strength. One of my FG’s was supposed to be a blue light blocking “e.reader” but was only supposed to block up to 34% of blue light. Using the test card with these glasses side by side and shining the light for about a minute back and forth, I discovered that the FGs performed just as well, probably a little better, as the area under them seems to be a purer white. And their lenses have high clarity. I have no idea how much blue light needs to pass through before the strip turns purple, but the card provides at least some indication that the blue light is getting blocked. With that in mind I thought maybe I should test my non-blue light FG readers. I actually don’t want to block blue light first thing in the morning, and indeed, two of my readers offered zero blue light protection as they were advertised. But interestingly, another FG reader that was not advertised as having any blue light or UVA/UVB protection performed just as well as the ones that were advertised to block blue light. And the bifocal FG sunglasses did too. So now I have more questions about how much light is really being blocked by these Gaoye glasses and by the FG ones that block the blue light. I know that they block little compared to my blublocker sunglasses (With those I can literally look directly at a device I have that has a huge blue power light larger than my hand and barely make out any hint of color). But I also know that using the Gaoye for an extended time helped my sleep. I am guessing that these Gaoye glasses should be advertised more in the 30% range (not counting what comes in from the side). But I’m still glad to have purchased some in zero magnification, given that blublockers are simply not practical to wear most of the time. Since some FG readers performed just as well on the card test as the Gaoye, I have retired my less clear 1.0 Gaoye, however.

Title: Great glasses for the price!
Review: These are such a bargain for what you get! They are as good as any glasses that you can find at a drug store that cost much more. I find that they last a long time and are sturdy. Eventually, the rim around the eye area cracks, but for the price it’s no big deal to throw them out and then you have several more to wear. They fit comfortably and look reasonably fashionable. I get .5 readers – I cannot get .5 lenses at the drug store so these are perfect to give me a boost in readability of fine print. Highly recommend!

Review: I’ve gone through a bunch of reading glasses over the years, but these Gaoye blue light readers are hands down my favorite. The style is clean and unisex, perfect for both home and office use. I got the multi-pack, so I keep a pair at my desk, one by the bed, and one in my bag — super convenient. The blue light blocking actually makes a difference. I spend hours in front of screens, and since switching to these, I’ve noticed less eye strain and fewer headaches. The lenses are clear (no weird yellow tint), and the frame is lightweight yet sturdy — they don’t slide off or feel flimsy.
