Title: Nice tool to have!

Title: Good customer service
Review: Got this Digital Electronic Gauge & used it occasionally over 60+ days. Yesterday morning I used it to set my jointer fence but when I tried to use it about an hour later to set my saw fence it wouldn’t turn on. Replaced the batteries but still wouldn’t work. Checked the battery voltage & both sets were well within usable range. Sent a message to the vendor but since it’s been over 30 days I doubt I’ll even get a reply. I ordered a Klein gauge today to see if it lasts any longer. Handy tool but the market seems to be flooded with cheap junk, so buyer beware.EDIT: The seller did contact me and ultimately replaced the gauge, so they do stand behind this product! Changed the rating from 1 star to 4, one off for the gauge failing.

Title: Cheap & Accurate Solution for Infrequent Use
Review: I needed to determine the grade of my model railroad track inclines & declines. Once. All I really wanted to know was that they were around 3.5 degrees.The Digital Electronic Level and Angle Gauge, Angle Finder with Bubble Level met my requirement well and is now sitting in my cabinet waiting for me to think of what else to use it for. I’d much rather have a $20 device sitting in my cabinet than a $50 device.

Title: Very Useful Gadget
Review: The main use I planned for this angle measurement meter was to measure the % slope of a walking path in our neighborhood, which goes up and down the side of a hill. I was able to start making direct measurements of % slope within 5 minutes of putting the batteries in. It is accurate, versatile, and easy to use. Having the bubble level on top makes this even more valuable because it is easy to enter a true level zero as an initial measurement. Well worth the money.

Title: Love It!
Review: Always had trouble on my budget Ryobi table saw getting nice 45 degree cuts. Figured the gauge on the saw wasn’t the greatest, which led me to buy this tool. There are plenty like it on the market, but it was the best value that I found that was rated well. I can attest that the tool works great and is fairly simple to use. My only issue is the screen does flip when it goes past 90 degrees to make reading it easier. However, when approaching that 90 degree measurement, you will see it flip back and forth until you stabilize on a number. Works great and is a nice addition to my woodworking shop.

Title: Specifically inaccurate
Review: This is the second of such devices I have owned. The first being a Wixey that suffered a catastrophic failure when dropped onto a concrete floor. Simply, a surface mounted choke coil broke away from the PCB. Yeah, it could be fixed, but would never get me a nice, illuminated display like this device has.Out-of-the-box, added fresh batteries, turned it on and zeroed it on my kitchen island counter, waited a few minutes for the electronics to warm up to ensure there was no zero drift (there was not) and turned the unit 90 degrees onto its right side. Display measured 90.00 degrees to my satisfaction. turned the unit back to its original zero point, and the device displayed 0.00 degree to my satisfaction. Turned the unit 90 degrees onto its left side, and a disappointing 89.55 degrees was displayed.Okay, maybe my aim was a bit off and it was taking into account a bit of front-to-back ramping of my counter tops. So, off to the shop with the ground surfaces…Set the device on a ground granite slab and zeroed it out. placed a 1-2-3 block known to be accurate next to the device, ensuring the granite surface was free of any debris. Turned the device counter-clockwise and allowed the magnets to adhere to the 1-2-3- block and got a satisfactory 90.00 degrees reading. Set the device upright on the granite slab and it returned to 0.00. Moved the 1-2-3 block to the other side of the device and rotated it 180 degrees to ensure I was registering against the same side as the previous test, rotated the device 90 degrees clockwise and allowed the magnets to adhere to the 1-2-3 block, and again, got a reading of 89.55 degrees. So, as long as I measure in a counter-clockwise orientation from zero, I should be good. That works for my right-tilt saw. But, not ideal looking at it from a general use perspective.Unlike some other devices of this type, the measurement surfaces are plastic and subject to the inaccuracies of injection-molding techniques. There is a slight bow to each measurement surface which could influence the measurement if you applied pressure to one extreme or the other or even the device being at a steep angle and the weight of the device shifting its reference angle a bit.Following the instructions in the manual on how to manually calibrate the device, I used the corner of my cast iron table saw bed as a reference point. Calibrated it 10 times, each to the same conclusion, rotating the device around its vertical axis, 180 degrees, resulted in an offset of 0.45 degrees. I did not find any way in the manual to manually account for this offset. Surprisingly though, it did improve the clockwise\counterclockwise accuracy from zero – they are both exactly 0.05 degrees off (89.95). So, as this is the designed use for this device – measuring relative angles from a designated zero point – and the offset is within the specified tolerances, I guess it has passed. But the fact that it cannot maintain a zero-reference when rotated around its vertical axis leaves a bad taste in my mouth. After all, this is the basic way we calibrate ultra-high precision levels that cost hundreds of dollars more than this one.
