Title: Benchmark findings
Review: Please see attached photos for actual specs on the phone as tested. I used the phone for a few weeks so I could do a very honest review based on many hours of use. I used the fossibot as my regular phone from which I do quite a bit of work with apps and spreadsheets. For the price of the phone the specs on the listing make it seem like an incredible deal. However, this phone uses salvage or bargain bin processors. Also it only has 4gb of ram, and at most 12gb with the rom expansion not 16. The expansion slowed down the performance of the phone, based both on how it felt and also performance tests (see pics) I was not planning on running tests, but when I used the phone it kept freezing and kicking me out of apps. I know part of it is the performance capability but the fact that it is not 5g may have something to do with it as well. Since all my work apps require Internet access it is difficult to say for sure. As a flagship buster phone, I would have expected this phone to be a “bare bones” stock phone, and was surprised to find it has 26gb of system apps installed. That seems like quite a bit of 128 total. That was after I uninstalled all the apps that allowed me too it was 41gb. Once I turned the rom expansion off the phone actually ran better just on the 4gb. The battery did last me 2 days on a full charge, the screen is larger than my other phone, and the camera is fine as well. This is a budget quality phone, and the price is a budget price, if the listing hadn’t stated specs that don’t exist I would have given it 5 stars. The listing also stated it was a 5g phone and I see that has been changed to the correct 4g.TL;dr This phone will work fine if you are using 1 app at a time, or playing games that are not graphically intense. It comes with a clear case, a nice instructions manual and even a warranty. check the specs first, some listed are incorrect

Title: Easy to use & works great!
Review: The FOSSIBOT S7 Android 16, 16+128GB+1TB, Unlocked Cell Phone, is easy to set up, as well as use, and it works great. It’s sleek, stylish, lightweight, and comfortable to hold/grip. This phone has excellent connectivity, battery life, resolution, and picture/video. It’s compatible with T-Mobile based carriers only though. Overall, I think it’s well made, well designed, and high quality – a good value for the price. I’d recommend it.

Title: Challenging Performance
Review: I generally think that mobile technology, especially mobile phones has really plateaued. It makes me question whether we really get good value for money with the newer flagships, or whether we are just buying into a brand name. I have tried a couple of Fossibot phones in the past and they were okay, but nothing incredible. Generally low price has meant low functionality and features. I thought perhaps the S7 would be different. The phone itself from a build perspective is a little thicker than I expected, though it’s a decent size and makes one handed operation possible. There is obviously a lot of plastic but the design is clean and uniform with smooth edges. There is a little bit of weight to it, but it seems balanced. All of the specs would suggest this performs well. Maybe on paper that’s the case, but in reality it’s not the best experience. The screen looks sharp enough, though the colors look a little off. Maybe it’s just my eyes, but I can’t help but see a type of greenish yellow hue. It’s running Android 16 which is great but I find the processor and ram make for a sluggish experience, especially with several apps open at the same time. I also have had a few issues with YouTube randomly shutting down mid stream. I do appreciate the secondary screen on the back of the phone, which I think could be useful with more app integration. Just now, it’s pretty much a glorified clock.I think one of the biggest disappointments is that this is a 4G phone and not 5G. That makes it really quite dated in terms of downstream connectivity while outdoors. WiFi works fine thankfully but in 2026 it seems strange to not have a 5G chip inside. Even though it states AT&t is not compatible I tried and yeah I couldn’t get it to work. I have a T-Mobile sim for work and tried that and I was able to get it to connect, though I will say data speeds were really lacking and slow.I think for sure there are worse smartphones on the market, and this price is very low. It is a nicely built phone with a cool secondary display but the performance and 4G network speed don’t make this a really great option.

Title: It’s okay after enabling virtual ram
Review: I am using Assurance Wireless, which runs on the T-Mobile network. Swapping my SIM card into this phone was enough to switch over.Ruggedness:The box has no information about water or dust resistance, and I did not see any drop‑test details.Performance:Out of the box, performance is rough. Even searching through the settings can cause hiccups. The phone has 4GB of RAM, which is the minimum for Android 16. Turning on the virtual RAM feature improves things a lot. After that, browsing with several Chrome tabs open worked smoothly, and YouTube videos played without any lag. Light games run fine, but heavier ones struggle.Back Screen:The rear display has limited customization. You can choose from a bunch of clock faces, which include step and calorie tracking, but there is no option for custom images or videos. By default it turns on with the main screen for around 1 minute, and you can adjust that or set it to require a double tap to wake it.Battery:TL DR: It lasts around 8 hours of mixed use and takes a little over 3 hours to recharge. The phone arrived with a 63% charge. The listed battery capacity is accurate based on my test readings. Using a battery test that simulates everyday use, it reached 20 percent after 8 hours and 6 minutes. After draining it fully, a complete recharge took a little over 3 hours. Charging slows down near the top to help protect the battery. It reached 10w while charging.
