Title: Perfect replacement for fluorescent fixtures and nice to have low/high output switch
Review: I have several under cabinet fluorescent lights in my kitchen I want to replace, so I tried one of these, the 18″ version with 3 color temperature selections. It’s perfect. Fits in the space of the existing fixture, easy to install, and the low/high power output switch is very helpful. I agree with another reviewer that on low output it basically matches the former fluorescent light and is bright enough for most uses. I found the 4k color temperature (middle position) the best to my eyes. And it’s ETL listed which was important to me, and the quality seems like your typical “contractor grade” fixture. In my case it’s out of sight, so it doesn’t matter that it’s all plastic. I plan to buy more as my other fluorescents give up the ghost.

Title: Buy the 3-color one. It is worth it!
Review: The 3 color one is $4 more, but worth it. Not only can you change the color temperature with a slide switch between 3000K, 4000K, & 5000K, but the on-off switch can go to either full brightness or about half brightness (with no need for an external dimmer). The fixed color temperature models have only an on/off. No half brightness. See attached photo showing bothThe half brightness was about the same amount of light as our florescent fixtures that these replaced. The full brightness was much brighter, and maybe too bright. We plan to keep them on half brightness normally, and maybe switch one to full brightness if we need extra light for prep, etc. I installed 5 of these in our kitchen. The knockouts for the wiring are very small in diameter, but as it turns out they are exactly the same as the florescent fixtures that I replaced. There just isn’t room for a full size hole. There is plenty of space for the wiring inside the unit. The cable clamp that comes with it is designed for a BX cable. The sheath of Romex will not fit through the hole. The sheath must end at the cable clamp. Most of my fixtures had two Romex wires as they were daisy chained. Both cables had their sheath end at the cable clamp, with the 6 wires going through the small hole. That fits, and it is how it was already done for the existing florescent lights. I just used the existing cable clamps, which are the same type as supplied.Installation took maybe 15-20 minutes per.So far they work great.I have not installed a wall dimmer. With the ability to go half brightness on the 3 color models I probably won’t need to. Glad I bought the 3 color models.

Title: Very good bright light but difficult installation.
Review: Replaced our kitchen under counter fluorescent lights with these led lights. Once installed, the lighting is a very clean, bright white light which we think is perfect for kitchen counters. But the installation was extremely difficult. This is probably mainly due to the way our fluorescent lights were originally installed. They are mounted under the cabinets almost flush against the kitchen wall. So the wiring going into the lights is very short. Also each of our lights had two wires going into it (to connect to the other under counter lights) and it was really difficult to put both wires in the new lights. The knockout hole is too small to really accommodate two 12 gauge wires. I couldn’t bring them in different knockout holes because the original wires are too short. It took a long time to finally get the wires into the new fixture and then secure the light to the cabinet. All of this is compounded by the fact that you’re working upside down in a very cramped space under the counter. If you have a longer length of wire to work with coming from your wall, the installation will be much, much easier. I gave this a four rating because the lights are really nice and lighten up the kitchen counters significantly. Just be prepared for a potentially difficult install, depending on your existing wiring. Bought both the 12 and 18 inch size. This review applies to both.

Title: Great lights
Review: I tried a few different under cabinet lights and these were by far the best.- they include a two-way switch that lets you choose low or normal brightness.- they have a good amount of space for wiring. I live in an older home and have some fun wiring setups behind the cabinets, including some heavy gauge romex coming from the microwave. I was able to pigtail everything and fit it all in the space provided (which was not the case with other brands).- Easy to install- The color temperature is easy on the eyes and compliments the room nicely- Overall, these are the best quality and design that I found on here.

Title: I used this with a corded plug. Watch the installation video! Easy!
Review: Beautiful, bright, under cabinet, kitchen counter light. My old florescent fixture is dim by comparison. The installation video at the top of this page made it easy to set the light up as a simple, stand-alone, corded light fixture that plugs into a wall socket. I could not have done it without the video, but the video was excellent! The light came with no instructions (of if it did, I lost them). Without the video, I would not have figured out which screws to use to open up the light, or find the installation screws, wire nuts, or adaptors, or which hole to knock out. It was not at all difficult, but it needed the instructional video. The video showed me exactly how to set the light up as a corded, plug-in fixture. There was room inside the light to add some extra cord length in case I want to eventually use the light elsewhere. The video recommends adding a simple loop to the cord (inside the fixture) to prevent the cord from pulling out. It can be a very loose, single loop knot, which can be worked along the cord to adjust its length after the fact. So I started a little longer, and then shortened the amount of cord that would extend outside of the fixture, in order to neaten the under-counter wiring. Instead of a wire staple like the instructor used, I prefer a cup hook, so that it is easy to remove or replace the cord if I ever have the need to do so.

Review: The light was easy to install. Two pilot holes in the cabinet made the screws grab right away as they aren’t the sharpest and my cabinets are hardwood. The screws thread into the plastic holes which can make the screws tighten before the housing is flush. I slightly enlarged the holes so the screws free spun in the housing. It tightened up flush very nicely. Wiring was easy. I chose to feed the wires through the back access plate and hook them up after mounting which worked well. I did have to strip some outer shielding off the feed wire as the hole in the panel is quite small. I added a star washer to the nut which doesn’t tighten that well without one. The light is good quality and illuminates our sink area very nicely. Overall it is a nice simple light and it looks good. This is a great replacement for a flickering or buzzing fluorescent light.

Review: I waited a couple of months before writting this review in order to give an accurate assessment. I had been looking for hard wired under counter lighting for some time and found nothing but 12V or battery powered. I came accross these fixtures and bought two units to replace existing lighting which was outdated.I installed them under the kitchen cabinets on a dimmer which I recommend because they are very bright, similar to neon lighting. There are numerous knock outs on the fixture and installation was easy.I like this product, well made solid units, easy installation and no flickering on dimmer.I would recommend to others.

Review: Easy to install, nice little light but the mounting screws are too short and couldn’t use them. They need to be at least another ⅜” or ¼” longer and self threaders as most cupboards are made from mdf and are hard as steel!

Review: These lights are great. With three color settings and two brightness settings you are able to find just the right ambience. The body of these is smaller than the flourescent fixtures I replaced so makes it a bit more fidely for the wiring connections but not difficult.
