This is a great alternative to the classic mince pie and could be used as an alternative dessert option at Christmas.
Mincemeat is actually a sweet fruit based pie filling made of various fruits and spices and also contains beef suet although there are vegetarian alternatives available. I’ve opted to use a store bought variant although you can make your own if you have the time, if you do choose to make your own factor in that it will require some time to mature.
