Welcome back to the channel and episode 3 in the puff pastry series where today we will be making a really simple chocolate puff pastry twist with a rich indulgent chocolate sauce.

Begin by rolling out 375 grams of puff pastry around 3MM thick and trim into a neat rectangle. As you can see from previous videos you often get trimmings which are ideal for this application, just remember to layer the pastry back together and never knead it as this will prevent it from puffing when baked and you will only be able to use trimmings layered up one time only.
Spread a generous layer of Nutella or a chocolate spread of your choice over the pastry and then fold in half before cutting into 2CM wide strips and layer onto a baking tray. Twist the strips into a corkscrew shape, there’s no set way for the shape, each one can be an individual number of twists.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160oC for 25 minutes.
When baked, sprinkle icing sugar over the twists while still hot, the sugar will dissolve in the heat but will add to the crunchiness of the twists.
