Title: Good starter set, mostly food cards though
Review: I recently got introduced to PECS cards for my non-verbal special needs daughter who is 3. This set was easy to cut apart, and easy to get all velcro’d and ready to use. They are sturdy and colorful as well. The one thing I didn’t really like, was that it’s mostly all food cards. A lot of candy too! I separated them all by type (ie breakfast, dinner, snack, lunch, cake/candy, fruit, drinks) and they are very easy for her to pick and choose. I wish they had a kit for emotions and needs though for the young children. They go great with the large communication notebook by Different Roads to Learning. Her pre-k loves it and said it really worked well today!

Title: only a few useful
Review: I purchased this at the advice of my speech theraist for my 2 1/2 yr old son with Autism. I am slightly disapointed and really wish this company would come out with more “age-specific” pec cards. Like a pre-school edition, elementary edition, and so forth. I was only able to use a select few. I decided to order additional cards that were catogorized “Home and Health”, and I was even more dissapointed, because I was only able to use EVEN fewer of the cards. I now just go online and print my own spacific cards I need at the time and laminate myself. I have saveD ALOT more money by doing this way. I dont mind spending the money if the product is useful. When the company starts making more “age-appropriate” packages, I will start purchacing from them again.

Title: They are ok
Review: 1) I was disappointed that for $37 the cards weren’t pre-cut. I don’t have extra time as is, then to sit there cutting 150 cards was ridiculous. They should be cut and have Velcro attached for the price that they are.2) As stated by others, mostly food cards and since my 3 year old is not eating solids yet due to sensory processing disorder, they were not useful.3) Fast food and candy as cards….how about peaches and pears? Just a thought.4) I WILL be making my own cards. I probably should have just made the binder and cards myself in the first place.
